The fact that you could hear the atrocities going on but not see them was absolutely devastating. Such a juxtaposition with the banality of the everyday goings on of the commandant and his family.

It s important to don’t forget the past if we improve in the future. Unfortunately this is not happening and the history keeps repeating itself in different shapes. And those will just remain movies that everyone feel must acknowledge with maximum respect forgetting about the present. Pain on humans doesn’t know color, race, religion. And didn’t happened only ones but unfortunately keeps repeating.

Instead of only focusing on what the Nazis did, I wish someone could gain the courage to reflect the Holocaust which is still ongoing under the disgusting Communism! They don't because these communists are the winners of the related wars in their countries, for example China, Vietnam, North Korea, Cuba etc., Sad but true, history is written by the winners!
Also, dont forget what the Russian Communists did to the German folks in Germany, Poland and elsewhere after WW2! Why do I rarely see any documentaries about this? When ppl are only focusing on the Nazis and being distracted from the crime of the Communism, it is called that half of the truth is revealed. Since the October 7 attacks on Israel which inflicted thousands of civilians casualties, Israel’s military campaign has killed something like 0.25-0.5% of the Palestinian population. Thousands, maybe in the low tens of thousands.

These two events are nowhere near “the same”. The events referenced in this film eliminated 2/3 of the J population in Europe. 6 million.
