- His name was Benedict Bridgerton, he had seven brothers and sisters, was rather skilled with both a sword and a sketching crayon, and he always kept his eyes open for the one woman who had touched his soul.
~
This woman knew joy. And Benedict had to know her.

I'm still cross that they're not doing Benedict and Sophie in the right order. I love their story!! x
Probabilmente perché nei libri si scopre nel 4 lady wisthaldawn mentre nella serie alla fine della due.
Senza contare il salto temporale del 3

They should have made Sophie actually being poor because they would actually having problems getting married and that would be a story that matches Benedict's character. But because she is rich but for some reason playing it Cinderella there is no conflict or agony cause they do not have a problem being together. I did not like the fact that she was playing the victim in the books a lot. In my opinion he deserved someone who would be as a revolutionist as he is. Not someone to save.
Well I mean she was broke tho And there was a problem remember cause she was a maid and the reason there wasn’t one was because violet warned her stepmom not to say anything or something would happen
but she was not broke, she became their maid with her own will. All that money of her stepmom was hers and in my opinion the writer completely ignored Benedict's character in order to make her own fanfiction, her own version of Cinderella but instead of Cinderella she put Sophie and instead of Prince Charming she put Benedict. I was feeling like i was reading a different story. Benedict was not himself at all in that book and he would definitely not fall for someone that wanted to be saved by him, the dude was supposed to be a womanizer and immature so the whole savior thing was a no for me. And i disliked Sophie so much, which is a shame because if she was actually poor this could be the chance for Benedict to show how rebel he was by falling in love with someone that is not rich like him. Sophie was such a victim and i remember thinking from the moment the writer introduced her how unlikeable she is because she reminded me of all these stereotypical female characters that fall in love with the bad boys or the ones that are grumpy all the time. Her reason or staying with her step mum instead of taking all her money and leaving her, was because she did not know where else to go. Like come on! I feel that after some time the writer stop being so good in the way of showing the portrayals of her characters. Like with Penelope and Colin, she made her lose weight and then Colin liked her which is so stupid and mean. @@Ramdom409
