- Welcoming Beautiful Baby Alanna, sculpted by Ping Lau for Paradise Galleries Home. Her name here is Aaliyah Skye and I think she fits perfectly into my collection. Some of my thoughts of her are below. It’s my opinion so we don’t have to agree.
Note that she is designed to stand. Therefore,it appears her armature is created only to support her standing... I chose to bend her legs anyway. She is standing again but her legs are not exactly as they were straight out the box. No biggie she will be “loved” here which means she is not going to stay exactly as she is out of the box.
Honest review she is gorgeous in person. I mean I normally do not like open mouth toothy babies for my collection. But I do love her happy face. I was able to fit her easily into a 3m Carter's dress with onesie and bloomers. That said 3 month was maybe a little short for her and would not work for say a sleeper or long pants so there is that challenge. I will try 3-6 months on her later and you can expect to see more of her.
I took a few pictures for comparison while she was getting to know her sister which is a 28inch Ping Lau toddler kit, Lyra as well as a 26 inch replica of Margot. I will get around to making some changes like piercing her ears and styling her hair. (Side bar: I own some replicas, they are my entry point to reborn world and I PAID for them and love them as mine. Don’t like scroll on; it is what is?)
Pros: I like her details, hair and height. She is absolutely beautiful and happy. Shipping was super fast! The only thing dolly about her dress was the Velcro closure. The dress and shoes are well made. The torso is an excellent touch and will expand her wardrobe options. Love her eye color.
Cons: I feel like she could have been a little chunkier to make her more 6month clothing size. I wish it was easier to pose her seated. I did it and managed to get her standing again. Her eye lashes could have been a tiny bit longer.i thought the rose went in her right hand which is fisted and getting it to stay straight in the left hand was difficult.
Overall 4 out of 5: I would recommend for a new or younger collector. Price and shipping were awesome.

@@mistyj5075 I bent the legs carefully. The wire inside straightened up again but I don’t think they intended for the legs to be bent.
