I thought you deserve a reply.
I remember i cried in grade 7, not understanding and failing at Maths and Chemistry. Instead of giving up, I kept working hard on these subjects until I finally mastered them. Now I am an Engineer.
So, the best tool that Maths requires is:
      1) After reading the theory of some topics, don't just understand and move to the next topic, rather SOLVE QUESTIONS A LOT ON PAPER and check your answers and try to understand your mistakes. If the book you are reading doesn't have questions/exercises, search a maths book in the library or online. Maths is all about practice.
      2) Since it will take sometime until you start mastering it, BE PATIENT.
If you follow these 2 steps, believe me Maths will be easy for you.

I disagree. Most of the Indians are shows offs, authority obsessed, subservient. But I think that constitutes the older generation. We the younger generation are much more aware of reality and are willing to work with and absolutely not undermining anyone. Pichai's humility does not stem from the fact that he's Indian but the fact that he was brought up a certain way. He could've been Swedish and all the same

And those who didn't even had a computer managed to get all the way to Google's biggest position, a just talk? C'mon man! I can't agree with that. Sure, he's not that amazing considering the fact that he never turned back once he'd gone to a google (I'm including your swedish point here), but seriously? a boy whom google might never even bother to care about neither would they in an era if he were that poor indian, just so happens to "make" them bother, and your saying "Swedish Indian, all the same?". Well that's from my point of view but I sure am curious what you think... And yes, lastly, I agree that we are more then aware of handling things over here (I might be overstating things, but oh well).

In India private education is very costly. The cost of Coaching for +1 and +2 and engineering entrance exams is very high.It costs about 1.5 hundred thousand rupees. It is about 6 months whole salary of an average Indian employee.
Because of less part-time employment opportunities, low salaries and long lecture hours, students can't earn to pay such high fees. So the parents bear the burden of fees of private coaching institutes. Lower income families use their entire savings for coaching institutes because they want a secured future for their child. Colleges are often not that good,so parents are compelled to send their children to private coaching for better quality education. Despite of paying high fees, the teacher to student ratio in most of these institutes is 1:60.
Khan Academy is doing a great job imparting free education. Surely, one day it will be possible for excelling in engineering entrance tests without attending private coaching institutes.
Keep on the good work. You are making world a better place by giving quality education to all.

There are a lot of tutoring outside the School but they're quite expensive for some of us. In Indonesia, there is like a gap in education between Small Village/Town compared to Big City.

@@amrit5679 , what hindu muslim nonsense ?? What encestors nonsense ?? There were several ancient civilizations. Hindu religion derived from ancient Aryan society, early it was vedic society which believed in one God and idolship was prohibited. Later it gradually twisted to current hindu religion. It all just ancient practice not religion

Does money play a part when you are helping millions and at the same time employ few and able to pay your bills. This is just great

I really liked Sundar's take on the importance of the platform idea. I'd like to think that (unless you're doing a PhD) the information we wish to learn is already out there, lying on its own. It's the way we arrive at that information that makes all the difference. As Sal mentioned in many of his talks and videos - the more we struggle to learn something, the deeper becomes our understanding of that topic. The way of reaching to the information can, in fact, be manipulated by the design of the platform IMO. Something very different than the standard lectures - maybe start with a misconception here and there - let's say, in maths, missing an axiom, and then the student struggles to prove some property which clearly is/should be true, and then (s)he finally realizes why the axiom was needed in the first place. This would be particularly useful for students who wish to revisit a topic - which is statistically more likely I think, cause we can learn for the first time only once, but in order to learn it properly, we need to come back to some core concepts again and again - which makes the final understanding solid.

Being Indian isn't a religion, it is an ethnicity. You can be born in India and still be a muslim ( many million muslims are Indian ). Muslim isn't a race, its a religion. Its an ideology, its a belief, unlike being Indian where it categorizes one to their birth land.
      Please stop being arrogant.
