  • Pending future demolition! Upon reading that news, I wanted to head back out to one of my old stomping grounds to check out this mall for possibly the last time. If all goes though with the local government there, demolition will be starting late this year on this old 60s mall. Though surprising it's lasted this long, it's nearing it's death throes

This was my mall. Me and my sister use to work at the Perfect Pretzels there. We love interacting with our customers and watching customers come visit Santa workshop at the big clock around X-mas.

There is word that they are going to be demolishing it to redevelop. I only ever visited the Mall post 2022 so it was already all closed. I still frequent the AMC which has remained open and getting new showings too. No one but me and my friends in the entire theater sometimes on Saturday/Sundays. Last time I went there were more employees than patrons. Really enjoyed seeing what it looked like since now its all sealed up. Its a literal ghost town now. Kinda creepy but still so interesting. Great video!

Yeah they've been working on it for months now unfortunately. I have one other video showing off the day it closed up somewhere on my playlists

Those pillars are soooo mid to late 80’s! Polo Park Winnipeg used to have them, but Portage Place still does

Yeah I failed at the discreetness at the Bloomington, IL Eastland Mall. At least I have sort of a sense of humor about it. Anyway, depressing mall. Sucks that malls are starting to slowly go the way of the dinosaur. The first generation of mall goers are starting to get old and retire and have no need for malls. It's seems to be a slow painful process. My generation still likes malls, but what's going to happen 20, 30, 40 years from now with the younger generation killing off these mall by shopping online. It's spiraling.
