- (Answers to 300+ subs questions) Come outdoors with me as I answer questions on the future of fiction writing, favourite art, places, books and (drumroll) advice to someone considering starting their own Booktube channel.
Along the way I get stalked by wildlife, encounter a frozen pond and a hairy tree.
Thank you to everyone for their interesting questions. Enjoy!

"Earthy, tweedy colors, ...a shedload of pink" sounds like a winning recipe! Love it! 🥰
That's lovely - never quite made it to the Botanic Gardens so it's great to see it.
Lovely scenes day 1 🤩
Lots of big picture questions in here, wow! Well done 🔥
Heather, you've convinced me. I have booked a little cottage in Linlithgow during November to celebrate (hopefully) the successful completion of my Read What You Own Challenge
It was fun hearing your answers to all these questions. AI is definitely a big concern for all creators going forward, on so many levels. As for online shopping: I think it's also more difficult for non bestselling authors to get visibility if people can't browse in bookstores. I also buy books online, but when I go to the bookstore I tend to pick up books that I'm not familiar with. I just took my first trip to Edinburgh last week--what a beautiful city! I will be back; perhaps next time we can meet?
Thank you Heather! I LOVE the garden and in particular, the squirrel. When my husband and I visited the UK, we loved watching them as we don't have them here in Australia. I really liked listening to your responses to the many questions people sent in. Thanks also for sharing a little bit of your local area. Love your accent and scarf too!!! (By the way, I also agree with you regarding the use of machines in the writing of fiction. There's something nicer to know that fiction is written by humans).
That Joan Mitchell painting, the texture of the palm tree trunk, your wild knitted scarf-thanks for these and all the other stunning images. You brought back good memories of my visit to the botanic gardens in Edinburgh. I even remember having a conversation with a staff member there about the damage caused by squirrels. I also appreciate your thoughtful responses to the questions posed. I’m glad you are here on booktube.
What a beautiful place-and a perfect scarf! I love the question of who might play you in a film version of your life, and then loved your answer. I too am really intrigued what HeatherReads was perhaps foreseeing in her question. Lovely to see you!
