  • A few days ago, I trialled the first in a series of Creative prompts - 2 words.
Here are my thoughts along with some tips, a warm recommendation for a book to get you started painting if you haven't before - some show and tell about textiles.
Find out what is inspiring me and helping me to make, you may find it sparks a new idea for yourself.
    That's the whole idea.
    New prompts tomorrow....

@@stockholmpearlsandviews4772 What a kind offer! At the moment I'm not using watercolour, but I am discovering that my use of media is expanding all the time - from acrylic, more recently ink, now markers, and I may need to get Woody pencils..... so who knows where it will end?! If it's not too much trouble, you could list them in a comment, as someone else watching may be on the hunt right now for great watercolour shades.:-)

Your scarf reminds me of the Doctor Who scarf Tom Baker wore in the role. Yours is nicer though.

That is hilarious - when I was growing up, I knitted my attempt at that very scarf! Because I didn't know much about yarn, I bought thick, double knit wool, so it never flowed and draped and moved the way Tom Baker's did. BUuuut it did go to the floor so I had persisted on the length! thank you for reminding me.
