Used this to attach leatherette patches to Richardson 112 hats. Can’t seem to get them done without seeing the imprint of the center seam on the patch. I tried reducing the pressure two different times but that makes the top platen wobbly. Any suggestions for both issues?
Have you tried using a different plate.. there is 2 that came in the kit.. Also, if you tried to use like a parchment paper to help aid in pressing evenly?.
@@CollinsFamilyAdventures Thanks for responding so fast! I tried the smaller platen that was on the machine when it came but it left a crease just at the top of the crown which was caused by the back edge of the platen. I then changed to the larger platen. Just not sure what adjustments to make to prevent that imprint of the center seam showing. My first thought was to reduce pressure which I did two times but that didn’t help. Then as I said before when I did that the top platen feels loose and wobbles. Is it supposed to do that or stay stable? Also, which platen did you use in the video? And did you have the issue with the imprint of the front seam?
@@CollinsFamilyAdventures just bought the hat press I'm new to all this so was wanting to watch how to use one Can you please let me know when it will be online to watch Thank you for replying back
