    I bolted mine down to my copper heat sink, no solder and it works fantastic. Going strong over 5 years.

    I've never seen this before. Is this better than using heat sink compound?

      Much better. Just think of 400W of heat being dissipated through such a small footprint. Besides the thermal aspect, it provides much lower electrical impedance from source to ground.

      This would be great to use with Smd mosfets and thin copper plate.
