Normal platelet count ranges between 150,000 to 500,000/microliter.
Increased number of platelets is known as thrombocytosis (or thrombocythemia).
Clinically, we don’t care about thrombocytopenia until the platelet count decrease to 50,000 or below. If you like my videos, please consider leaving a tip at www.paypal.me/perfectionalis/

The difference between serum and plasma is that plasma still has clotting factors within. The additive prevented clotting from occuring. Serum results after a clot was formed and then separated. If plasma is centrifuged you can see the WBCs and platelets in the very thin buffy coat.
Absolutely superb 👏
You have to rule out hep C as well, before to do bone marrow

My brother has 124000 and he just became Corona negative .. is it a thing to worry about? Or is it sign of hepatitis
Talk to your doctor, please!
No one can diagnose you online!
@@MedicosisPerfectionalis he doesn't has hepatitis or any symptoms but it decreased to 97k
@@bjkhanal9308 what happened to your brother 3 years later? I am kind of worried my number is below the normal range now
Hi my platelet for the last 4 months has been 108k, 95k 100k and 94k - what is going on?
I don’t know 🤷♂️
It depends on your symptoms, and the level of the RBCs and WBCs.
Please talk to your doctor.
Quick questions:
Do you have symptoms?
Are the levels of RBCs and WBCs within normal?
This is for educational purposes only, and not to give any medical advice.
@@MedicosisPerfectionalis thanks. Latest RBC was 4.14 and WBC was 4.41. No symptoms. HB concentration was 126g/l
@@zer0875 how is your health now?
@@zer0875 hey, how are you doing now? did you find out what caused lower numbers?
