Thanks again for another great lesson, Ralph. I remember in another lesson you did, you mentioned about discussing breathing with Carmine. Any thoughts you can share on approach to breathing that Carmine may have discussed or mentioned will be greatly appreciated. Stay safe, Frank

Frank. He kept it simple. You breath in like your filling the stomach. He use to say in reality you the air will only fill the lungs. Release the air into the instrument by tightening and raising the stomach up and in. Keep it simple.

@@ralphdavella554 Ralph, thank you so much for that explanation. Now when I hear or read "fill the stomach", it really mean that by "filling " the stomach that you are really making room for the lungs to expand because the air only fills the lungs.

HI Ralph, thanks for the new lesson. It is interesting to tackle triple tonging before double tonguing. Is that to be interpreted as triple tonguing is slightly easier to grasp than double tonguing?

Some teachers do teach double tonguing first. Some teachers teach double tonguing first. I think both ways are fine.
Let me say that both the Arban's Book complete conservatory method and the Ernest Williams Book both address the triple tonguing first then the double tonguing.
