    I am just now getting into the Bond movies. I watched Goldfinger on Netflix, and it was awesome, so I will probably buy this set.

      Welcome to the Bond club Nathaniel, you're in for a treat. You will really enjoy the Bond movies, and this box set is an excellent way to begin.

      ***** I got it during an amazon black friday sale last week, it was 109.99 with free shipping and handling for being over $100. You could try boxing day this year, it may go down again

    Love this box set, got mine for £40 which i think is $53(?) to be fair, i got it this year though lol but still a decent price for all bond movies and worth getting just for the design IMO

    In aswer to 8:42 , I think Skyfall technically didn't have a Bond girl, it had Bérénice Marlohe as Sévérine. But she [spoilers] dies half way through the movie, and the Bond girl always lasts until the end. She also was more of a plot driver rather than someone of much use.
    Just my thoughts.

    Have you experienced problems with the discs, like scratches (affecting play-back), when removing them from their sleeves?

    • @TheBluRayCritic
      @TheBluRayCritic  Před 9 lety +2

      +machan7000 I never had a playback problem with the discs. Although, it does take a bit of time to get the discs out, other than that, no scratches and no issues.

    How about the new box which was released recently. is that worth getting or this one?

    • @TheBluRayCritic
      @TheBluRayCritic  Před 8 lety +3

      +arkhamcitycitizen It really depends on how much you want to spend. If you don't care for digital copies, extra bonus features or artwork booklet, then this Bond 50 collection is for you. The newer set is more compact size which makes it easier to store on the shelf. Between the two, I prefer the artwork on the Bond 50 edition versus the newer set, but in the end....it's what you prefer most.

      Bond 50 does look way nicer. The new set looks very basic, not even any pictures or anything.

    I hate it when you look at the blu ray version of this collection and then at the dvd one! I mean.... THATS A PIECE OF SHIT! I own the dvd version and i find it really unfair what it looks like in terms of the blu ray one... much cheaper and the blu ray version even has a bonus disc inside!

    • @TheBluRayCritic
      @TheBluRayCritic  Před 10 lety +1

      I agree, it's like the movie studio is saying don't buy the DVD, go with the super duper Blu-ray version.
