Where Was Glass Invented? - The Naked Archaeologist 302 - Ancient Glass

- A giant slab of glass is discovered in the middle of an ancient cemetery where important Rabbis are buried. What’s it doing there? Simcha has a theory that it was an unsuccessful attempt at making a window for Herod’s temple renovation in the late 1st century BCE - and therefore Holy. That’s why Rabbis would want to be buried near it. But as he tries to figure out if his theory is correct, he follows the glass trail and discovers that glass may have been invented in Israel - not Egypt, as is commonly believed.
Ladies, if you're expecting Harrison Ford to run across your screen wearing nothing but a fedora and carrying a bullwhip, you're out of luck. Instead, this show finds previously "serious" documentarian Simcha Jacobovici channeling his inner Michael Moore, as he travels the Middle East seeking to uncover the truth behind biblical events. Jacobovici interviews Holy Land scholars and compares notes with leading archaeological experts, offering startling new theories behind the stories while having fun in the process.

Thank you to everyone who helped make and post these videos. Love, light and joy to everyone..
I love Simcha Jacobovici. and his sense of humor.
He's a tall tall man from a tall tall land, he makes no apologies for his archeology 🤣🤣. 👏👏👏 so good keep going sir.
😂😂😂
Catchiest theme song in show biz.
He’s a tall tall man 🎶
Simcha, seeing you after long time. Very happy. 🙏
One can only imagine after looking at the biggest window for the house of GOD that how mighty, splendorous and magnificent the Temple was leaving a lasting impression in their lifetime for those who gazed upon at very first glance!
So pleased your back love your show.
Sergio and Rhoda in Israel also visit this place and discuss what it could possibly be. And some people think that it might have come out of the temple itself and that's why the town was so well guarded
The 200" Palomar mirror is much bigger than all of those you mentioned. All in one piece. Now they cast multiple pieces and align them with computers to make one large mirror.
Love your videos!
this is AMAZING.
and it make perfect sense
which part?
I have missed you and learning from you
Fantastic videos
I love to see Shlomo, seems like a fun interesting man to sit and talk too. I'd loved to meet him in person and see his collection. Seen one episode where he tells the story of when he found his first roman coin I think. He gave NA a coin on that one too.
I guess I'm pretty randomly asking but does anybody know of a good website to stream new tv shows online?
@Maximilian Kaysen i use flixzone. You can find it on google =)
@Emilio Langston yup, have been watching on FlixZone for years myself =)
@Emilio Langston thanks, I went there and it seems like a nice service :D I appreciate it!!
@Maximilian Kaysen you are welcome xD
Simcha! Love your work! I'm a messianic Jew trying to find the truth. I don't know if I'm Hebrew, but this is the path that Yah put me on. Between you and Ron Wyatt I'm finding my way. Please keep doing what u do. You're a treasure. Lvya bro. D
He thinks that the history described in the Bible is more accurate than most archaeologists believe, and that God uses natural forces to make things happen. The history in the Bible does NOT prove or disprove any supernatural explanations the ancients also included. He's an Orthodox Jew and NOT a Christian, so I don't think he would be in sympathy with your religious beliefs.
on my list of must see
More videos simcha plssss
What I want to know is - whats under that slab of glass?
Blowing bubbles from the hot rod....this guy lol 🤘🤘
Very interesting and i think convincing.
Good evening everyone
You've already made a post similar to this right?
Imagine experimenting 2000 years ago .
The part of the video where he is holding a green glass chunk and speaking with Yael Gorin-Rosen, anyone know the name of this institution?
He says my rod is hot...oh I blew it...look glory hole..my nippers are hot...lol
glass is very sensitive to heat and permeable if you're a cowboy you throw plaster on it if not flour in water is fine
So it was originally Sumerians in city of Ur who invented it
Great to see, but too many comercial breaks
we have to pay the bills!
@@TOPBOXTV Yes I know. It´s just a little frustrating when it´s so exciting to watch and then....BAM
@@larsfrosznielsen3536 Yeah, CZcams's been on a tear with inserting as many ads as possible.
It is very likely that this place was the edifice of the prophet Solomon, which was mentioned in the Quran to the Muslims in the verse 'The Ants, 44', because this verse tells the story of the queen of Sheba who worshipped the sun, and went to Solomon and when she entered the palace of king Solomon the prophet, she was surprised with a glass brushing the ground so Soft and sparkling until she thought it was water . She walked on it and noticed something that made her believe in the god of Solomon. It is possible that she saw the stars and planets reflected on the glass which are bigger than the sun. So it is as likely as the presenter said and as other commentators have said maybe this was a telescope . QURAN , The Ants, 44' >
I like Shlomo he's a funny man!
Yeah..interesting..I'll buy that..
Looks like a big fat ROCK 🪨 , Must polish the hell of it to make it look like glass . I guess a bowl of water you can use it like a mirror 🪞 Lol
Standing on it… hahaha.. it’s a pit furnace
Lol I paid a million dollars for 1 piece of glass. Imagine as he lifts the glass to the light and it slips out of his hands and crashes to the floor. The old man’s soul leaves his body and then the end times begins because the Genie has been let out. 🤣
Seen Many Videos of urs, do like them but it seems makes u feel Isareal was centre of world in whole history
So much disinformation I don’t know where to start 🤦♂️
Mother Nature actually invented glass it’s called obsidian.
Man made glass and natural glass is not the same
👍 🧐 🤔 👉🏼🤯💨
Speculative but plausable.
Honestly, yous are barking up the wrong tree with the window theory. Its wishful thinking. Im sure however that if its repeated often often enough in 50 yrs it'll be accepted fact that this was the most holy window and was made by abraham and moses and polished by ben hur and fitted by joshua himself.
Should do a video on who the true Israelites were what race were they really
It’s not about race. Israel is a People. We’re not a race.
Christo Chaney Israelites are a bloodline ….. the scriptures make that abundantly clear. On multiple occasions . It’s a specific people as well .
@@EmpireMG the Israelites don’t exist anymore. They all passed away many generations ago. Today the people of Israel are called Jews. If it’s purely a bloodline then why in Esther chapter 9 does it say that many became Jews?
Yet there’s no evidence of a Solomonic temple ever being built In Jerusalem out side of the Bible and if you read the story many things about the story of the temple being built don’t make sense.
