- Ever wondered how good a small 2 stroke dirt bike would be at hill climbs? Well that's what we are here to find out! Today we're riding at the awesome Wern Ddu Quarry enduro complex which has a list of awesome hill climbs. Some nearly impossible, but many of them bike breakers! We decided this would be the day we will take our tiny 150cc dirt bikes and try sending them up some ridiculous hills. Enjoy.

If the 150 is the most fun and it clearly makes your riding better, why do you class the 300 as the best bike you have owned? What does that do better for you?
@@MrCRAIGREVO I just have no other 150's to compare. The 300 is an all round bike and out of all the ones I've owned the 2024 is by far the best. Smooth power, suspension, frame, peg position and the list goes on. I feel a lot more comfortable on it.

Loving the 150 content. I love mine. It’s a riot to rip on. Awesome video. I felt that cross rut at around 16 minutes. I’ve done it a thousand times. I’m still getting mine figured out. Having fun and pushing your limits (without getting hurt) is what it’s all about

Gotta stay in the power band. Your boy knows how to let it sing. It's hard to capture how those hills look on video. Definitely some high experience level terrain. Good stuff.

Hey MX, for those smaller 2 strokes and even the bigger ones, don't hesitate to lay on the throttle more. Your friend kept making it up because he would gain some speed, and keep higher rpms. You gotta twist the throttle more before you hit the hill. And then hold that throttle until you have to. Don't be afraid to go faster

On some hills i will just get stuck at some point and just dig a hole than going up

150 is more easy to ride but very hard to master (like 125 two strole riging style), 300 is easy to ride at first but when you turn a littble bit your throttle you are visiting mars
I couldn’t tell you. Two completely different bikes and riding styles. You’ll have to ride them first to see which one you like
You might grow out of the 150 skill wise, get the 300!!!

Been riding dirt bikes for 45 years. Had my share of big bore 4 and 2 strokes. I am getting older and starting to loose stamina with my 300exc so I bought a 150exc a couple of years ago. Love it! It doesn't wear me out as fast as the 300. A bit lighter. I can just keep up with my boys on their 300's till about 80km/h then they pull away but in the tight stuff I'm all over them if I am fresh.
Have you made some adjustments to the power valve spring. Mine really came to life after a few tweeks.
No I’ve left mine stock for now but I’ll get round to testing with it. Such a fun bike it’s unreal

any chance you would do a Kawasaki KDX 200 review? I would just love to see a better rider than myself do some hard enduro on one. I love the bike and it will take almost anything you throw at it.

Change the gearing so it's the same as your friends 125
13 front then you have a choice from 49 - 52 teeth on the rear 13 - 51 is the best
Or just change the front sprocket to a 13 see the difference

A 144cc engine is not good for loose soil hill climbs, unless you have skills.
Do you think a 200 would give you that bit extra you’re looking for. Obviously there’s no compensation for being shit like the rest of us 🤟🏼
