I got a ton of questions. My father-in-law gifted us his boat last fall when he bought his new one. He took the battery out, and I'm left with an octopus of wire leads that I have NO idea where they go. I know most of them are for the bilge, lights, livewell, fish finder, the trolling motor (bow mount), and the starter wires for the outboard. I keep the boat in a storage unit with no electricity, so I need to be able to take the battery out each time I use the boat to charge it. This system looks like it might be the ticket I'm looking for. I'm just trying to simplify it to make my life a whole lot easier. Can I wire the leads for the trolling motor (wiring comes from switch panel at back of boat) into it, or do I need to connect it straight to the battery- it's a deep cycle cranking battery. Thanks!

Will this work for a lithium-ion battery? I have a kayak with a trolling motor and purchased a 100 amp hour battery that I don't even come close to draining so I wanted to add navigation lights and maybe a fish finder.

I used to have 1 battery in my boat to run everything, now Mini Kota will void your warranty on any Digital trolling motor with spot lock if trolling motor battery is shared with anything, they say it can ruin the electronic card in the trolling motor and to charge the battery the trolling motor must be disconnected (unplugged) from circuit. Has anyone else had any dealings with this?

@@icheckraise Jeffrey, if your trolling motor has 10 gauge wire (smaller Trolling motors less than 50 amps.) you can run your fish finder and Trolling motor
