In prehistoric times in central PA there was The Great Buffalo Swamp. I think that might have something w/ the numerous north flowing rivers of this entire region: the Niagara River included.
Major factual errors in the narrative. Buffalo is on Lake Erie, not Ontario. The population of Buffalo is about 276,000 in 2021, according to the US Census Bureau. 1.2 million is the metro area which includes Cheektowaga, West Seneca, the Tonawandas and more.
Many famous people among our nation’s history have visited the Island, including five U.S. presidents. Harry Truman, John F. Kennedy, Gerald Ford, George H.W. Bush, and Bill Clinton have all stayed on the Island. Additionally, there are seven suites within Grand Hotel that were specifically designed and named for seven former First Ladies: Jacqueline Kennedy (features carpet that includes the gold presidential eagle on a navy blue background and gold-painted walls), Lady Bird Johnson (features yellow damask-covered walls with blue and gold wildflowers), Betty Ford (features green with cream and a dash of red), Rosalynn Carter (features a sample of china designed for the Carter White House and wall coverings in Georgia peach), Nancy Reagan (features signature red walls and Mrs. Reagan’s personal touches), Barbara Bush (features pale blue and pearl touches with both Maine and Texas influences), and Laura Bush (features bright cream and floral patterns and décor inspired by the Texas prairie).

My ancestors moved here in the end of the 1800’s, only 1 of the 6 children eventually returned to Sweden and she is my great-great-grandmother.
They settled in Buffalo and i still have living relatives there, such as my grandmother’s 2nd cousin. I feel a connection to Buffalo and i have my sights on visiting the place somewhere in the future.
Awesome views! I know their winters can be brutal up there having lived in Utica, NY some yrs back. Streets are clear and clean!!!

I live in Nye, Texas. If I want to cross from Buffalo US to Nigara falls Canada for a temporary trip in 1 day, do I need a passport ? or use only one ID card Because here is quite different from going to Mexico
