Hoping he becomes the most successful Dutch manager ever in England
Hope so too
That's not difficult to do to be honest 😊
Lvg
hopefully not another dutch guy
@@herrporschex?
Klopp wasn’t an up and coming manager when Liverpool signed him! He was a fully established manager with 2 bundesliga titles, champions league final etc
Everyone has to start somewhere and was once an up and coming manager at some point. Sir Alex Ferguson was Aberdeen Manager before going to UTD
@@ajmoore2201Alex Ferguson was a league winning and Cup winners cup winning manager which he won against Real Madrid he wasn't up and coming either
@@AntJay-kc7ps Arne Slot is also a League winning, Cup winning and European Finalist. Certainly Not saying he's gonna be on the level of Alex Ferguson but this idea that a managerial appointment automatically has to be a fully established manager is just untrue.
How would Ferguson not be classed as upcoming at that point? before Aberdeen he managed St Mirren
Exactly
I totally agree, we all have to start somewhere. What I’m saying is Klopp wasn’t up and coming when joined Liverpool. Xavi Alonso was up and coming coach when he joined Leverkusen from Sociedad B! He’s def not up and coming now. I’d say he is, since Mourinho at Porto and when Pep started at Barcelona, the next managerial protege since then.
Oh boy. England is up for a big big surprise. This guy is nothing else than amazing. Just wait and see. Great scouting from Liverpool
I really hope you are right mate because Liverpool is a big club
yet england is nothing like the netherlands, it's HARD
Cant wait to see liverpool back to where they belong. Pre Klopp era 🎉
@@ncdeepswhich one like the shankley era? Yeah same 😁
Klopp won the biggest titles with good players. Salah at Roma wasn’t worldclass! Mane? Firmino? Henderson? Matip? Worldclass? Hell no! Klopp made them!
And the youngsters like Trent or Robertson he elevated? Slot has a mountain to climb to get on the level of Klopp. No doubt.
The good thing for Arne Slot is that although the squad needs tweaking a little he is coming into the club in very different circumstances than Jurgen did..Jurgen had to completely rebuild the squad he inherited..So there is less pressure on Slot as far as i am concerned..But he needs this squad and a few new signings to stick together..Then who knows how successful Arne Slot will be..
Only thing i like about this guy so far is that he actually seems very passionate about being liverpools coach other than that im nervous
"Born 4 miles from the German border...". What does that have to do with anything?
BTW, Klopp is from Stuttgart, over 350 miles from the Dutch border.
BTW, I was born at the other side of the world to Australia. 😀 YNWA Slot.
Yes, that was a stupid remark
@@jellebigge , Agreed. 🙂
That remark was random af lol
Can’t believe they actually let Gary Cotterill into the studio for once
As an American football fan, I'll never tire of the British phrase "Chalk and cheese". I tried it on a conference call recently and ah...yeah, Americans aren't as familiar with its meaning. Great dialog here. Very excited for next season. YNWA
Slot is coming to a team with some of the best players in the world who have experience of winning trophies together. A lot different to what Klopp came into. I think many people will get a surprise after thinking Liverpool will crumble after Klopp leaving. I'm excited for a fresh start. Up the reds!
I think so too
Only time will tell....
We won't know but he at least deserves time
Slot is the new Paisley
😂🤣
Klopp was the Paisley with only 1 title in 10 years.
@@user-rk9kb2sd9bKlopp was Shankly Slot is Paisley
@@user-rk9kb2sd9bPaisley won 6. I don't know how easy it is for you to count on your webbed fingers but it's more than 1
@@user-rk9kb2sd9bI’d take 1 title over 115 charges anyday, thank you (also he won 6 or 7 other cups if you don’t know how to count)
Gary is also famous in the Netherlands
It's going to be a mourning period for the Reds. There is no replacement for Klopp. Only a successor.
No it's not...he's not dead
He'll be the Paisley to Klopp's Shankly
@@runninaroundyou can mourn for things other than a death you know.🤦🏻♂️ muppet.
@@MOONGREEDYIt's sad how deluded the majority of our fan base is but that's why it took us 30 years to win our first Premier league title.
@@conorward6610 That is not why it took 30 years to win their first Premier league title.
Honest opinion.. Any manager who comes in to replace klopp consider lucky as klopp already build base and future for the club.. If ain't broken, don't fix it.. Keep the best player, retain staff that performs well
Hopefully he’ll slot right in and we can keep the momentum going.
Hope he'll be good , lets have faith in him.
Arne Slot > ETH
Dumb dumber dumbest no one knows this guy he will flop soon am telling u
Time will tell. Right now their records are comparable.
Ten Hag put 4 past Madrid at the Bernabeu 😂
Those players are looking to be the next academy products to earn spots in Arne Slot squad. Sepp Van Den Berg,Owen Beck,Tyler Morton,Fabio Carvalho,Dominic Corness,Melkamu Fraunedorf,Luke Chambers,Amara Nallo,Bobby Clark,James Mc Cornell, Lewis Koumas,Jayden Danns,Musialowski, and Harvey Blair.
Carvalho isn't an academy product we bought him from Fulham
We hope he becomes successful
Wishin Slot the best.
As long as FSG and the hierarchy support him, he has a chance. If not, then it could be difficult although not impossible.
If Klopp was supported more LFC probably could have won more
Erik Ten Hag's biggest mistakes as Man United manager:
1) Replaced Ronaldo with Wout Weghorst
2) Lost 7-0 to Liverpool
3) Released De Gea and signed Onana when we should've signed a Center Back
4) Threw Jadon Sancho under the bus in favour of Antony when we needed the team to stick together
5) Signed Antony for 85M pounds, the worst signing in Man United history
6) Led United to their worst season in Premier League history and their worst ever champions League Campaign.
Can anybody tell me why he deserves another year? (Don't tell me about the Carabao Cup).
It's easy nó player or manager wants to join United.. It's the only reason he has that team and the only reason he's still managing them
Apperently you don't know much about man united
I don't like the fact that he made the announcement, and I wasn't sure how I felt abou him, but Klopp said we must support him, so I will.
There's nothing like right man, the first thing is can he do the job and if he can then he is good to go
David Wagner should have replaced him, that would have been the best scenario. Mind you Arne has a fantastic set up and style of play.
I have zero enthusiasm for Slot. Klopp is loved as much for his personality as his management skills, he got us. The general impression I am getting here is Slot will need to make a very fast start because the void Klopp leaves is depressing.
Liverpool fans are one of if not the most supportive fan bases in the world for players and managers. And I'm not talking about social media "fans" I'm talking about us scousers and fans at the games and around the city etc. We will get behind him until we see a real reason not too
@@charliekelly892yeaa liverpool social media “fans” are very negative it’s so annoying! they slated players who hadn’t even kicked a ball for the club and they’re most likely gonna treat slot the same, I just hope the match going fans will give him time and support
Klopp planted trees , slot will enjoy the shade.....
Johan Cruijff put the seeds, Frank Rijkaard planted the trees and Pep Guardiola harvested from all of that!!!
liverpool will have a gem manager look at his head closer
Next head line: Does Slot live close enough to the place were Klopp was born?
Never knew steve kean changed his name
i personally don't this so but we wont know until it happens!!
Not replace. Just taking over
Yes.
It’s big club for him to manage
You never know to be honest. However, Dutch managers haven't fared too well in the Prem. All we can do is back him, and give him time.
People learnt sure about Benitez, yet he went out to win the CL.
Rafas pedigree was on Klopps pedigree level when he arrived ridiculous comparison
Is the guy X the right man? My question is, Is this the right question before the first match?
Take good care of our Arne
We will take care of him as much we love roy hodgson
The answer is after 15th PL games
You Brits are still talking about that... whether he's the right man? Get a life already people...
To me, Arne Slot resembles Swedish automotive founder Christian von Koenigsegg.
Slot needs to capture the imagination and passion of the liverpool fans fast or its going to be a long hard slog for him. I really think he will be replaced after a couple of seasons.
Or a short one? Might be gone by Christmas if the results are poor
Top 4 is minimum
good luck to slot i hope liverpool know what they are doing :(
I remembered he was linked with Leeds United and all Leeds fans are against it because he is closed friend of Ten Hag, if I am not wrong. So how about Liverpool fans if he come to them.
Piss poor reason for not wanting a manager. Kenny Dalglish and Alex Ferguson have been good friends since Kenny was an apprentice at Celtic 55 years ago, and Matt Busby became Man Utd manager after he retired from playing for Liverpool.
Funny how Liverpool news is all over sky news
No one cares if pep is winning the league 4times
Respect Liverpool always

Pep is botak, Arne also botak.
I think he will “slot” into EPL life easily.

Was Xavi Alonso the right man to take over Leverkusen with no experience in relegation zone? I guess y'all know the answer to that.
Wow how to spend 4 minutes, he didn't even answer the question? Why are you talking about man u?
Ten Hag MUST stay!
How many more videos will Sky put out about 'Is Slot the right guy?' Clowns
I agree spot on
Until he gets a sack and new Manger speculation comes
Next head line: Does Slot live close enough to the place were Klopp was born?
@jellebigge bro this is really funny gotta give it to you
klopp has overshadowed the expectations of FSG and liverpool as a whole, If we get top 4 and a trophy that would be a perfect first season for slot. Slot won’t be expected to win the league for 3/4 years atleast, even then maybe not depending on how much we spend, with pep and arteta about it won’t be easy for any manager in world football
He ain't getting no 3-4 years to win the league 🤦🏽 did you even think that through the expectations are gonna be higher than when Klopp took over
@@AntJay-kc7ps a clubs success is only as good as the owners targets unless a generation manager comes in, u really think with the amount we spend and with pep and arteta around he will lose his job if he doesn’t win the league in 3/4 years?? i think if he consistently does well in the UCL and gets top 4 he could keep his job for 5/6 years
The fact you saying Arteta shows how mediocre Liverpool fans are. Keep dreaming. If he does not win the league in at least 2 years he is gone
@@timmy5876but I agree with how much FSG spend it seems like we're a midtable club we need new owners
@@thiagoalcantara6421 it’s annoying with the owners tho cus they run the club absolutely perfectly they just need to invest a little more, also why is there disrespect towards arteta? he beat both liverpool and city this season and has been flawless this season in the league since christmas they’ve lost 1 game i think since then, it’s a similar story to us in 21/22 where we were borderline perfect but just happened to be against city who are 100% flawless. If we look at a world where pep didn’t exist he’d have won back to back prems over klopp, obviously there’s context with last season and this season finance wise with us but still he would’ve done it and that’s impressive in my eyes
Lol haven't you asked this question already
Ello
No. Dont think he realises the magnitude of the job. Ill give him two years max.
Right and left...
so probably better.
Klopp is a good and charismatic manager, but it's not like Jesus is leaving. Media feeding the drama.
No

Pep will not be at city forever.. When he's gone it's fair game

No he's not!
Disrespectful to jergen in my opinion
Liverpool never get managers at the top they always get up and coming managers like they did with klopp. Fair play to Liverpool owners because they are one of the smartest but the most cheapest
tbf klopp was pretty near the top, he was the best available manager at the time
@@timmy5876 no he wasn’t😂 ancelotti was and ancelotti was front runner for the job until lfc picked klopp insteaf
@@KVendbjd he managed madrid until 2015 then bayern in 2016, no way he would’ve joined us over either of them especially with that squad
@@timmy5876 he was still the favourite

the presentation standard isn't very good. looks like an amateur news show. do they dress themselves?
Let's hope not 🤞

Don’t think so! His body language is totally different.
What does this even mean really?
Hopefully Slot will never announce 1/3 of the way through a season that he doesn't have the energy to do the job anymore.
It's better to do it at 1/3 of the season rather than announce it suddenly at the end of the season. By then the club got too much of things to do, finding a new manager and also new players within a 2-3 months window.
