These segments are always so good, it's such a damn shame they're so rare.
Yet nonetheless well done.
The best part is always how Seth acts like he hasn't eaten in days!
So far the best part is Seth doing the hipshake 💕
Ahh I loved Seth trying to pronounce schug and techina 😂😂 the guttural sounds are hard for non-native Hebrew speakers PS: schug is a really spicy condiment so judging by Seth’s face at the end he didn’t not actually taste any lol
LMAO too fun. Thanks Seth and crew.
It’s really funny how even Chef Michael got the memo that they need to wrap up the segment immediately 😂
Which late night talk show host would you like to drive across the country with? The answer is obvious
Stephen Colbert
@@hojichaisfarsuperiortochai9309 Me too!
No question...
...Space Ghost
I'd learn life lessons with Colbert, Id be laughing the whole time with Meyers but Fallon would make me feel good the whole time for laughing at everything I said
@@hojichaisfarsuperiortochai9309
You better have first class reservations the whole way buddy. Colbert only travels first class. I love Colbert
Eu poderia assistir o Seth cozinhando o dia inteiro! Kkkkkkkkkk
Chicken schnitzel? Radda radda (props to anyone who gets the chowder reference)
“Kfar” means village in Hebrew. And I doubt Seth actually tasted the schug, it’s extremely spicy if done right, he would have started sweating immediately 😅
Schug is the only thing that makes jachnun edible.
Mike is the best chef ever
Such a cute Jewish boy
What was it he used for the breading? I heard shredded wheat
I love snitzitel, but I've only used bread crumbs.
I believe that's Kataifi. If it's not made with bread crumbs, it's not Schnitzel.
Kadaif...its shredded phyllo
There seem to be several different spellings, including Kadayıf and Kataifi.
@melaniemichaud825 thank you 😊
I haven't seen a cooking segment on a talk show in forever. Is that just fried chicken?
That is what schnitzel is, breaded fried meat.
Always boneless. Schnitzel is boneless breast
let's cook awesome grilled salmon and then let's party
Can we have another cooking segment with James, but less rushed? 🙄
that wasn't James. that was Michael.
Schitzel with butter?!? Not margarine? Not kosher.
after that, be sure to cook something from my channel
Did Seth say "go birds" when he mentioned Pittsburgh?? Oh Seth...
He couldn't say "Stealers" because properly that means "Thieves".
What do Seth and Trump have in common? They don't want fried chicken that close without eating it 😂😂😂
Huge fan btw.
Greetings from Austria ;)
That intro was funny... I thought he was James beard.
Correction: This is just fancy fried chicken, not a Schnitzel. The folks on the Schnitzelverbrechen sub on Reddit would call it a Schnitzel crime (I tried to link to the sub, but my comment seems to have disappeared).
Schnitzel means different thing to a German and an Israeli. Go into an Israeli supermarket, and what they sell as schnitzel, in the meat case, is finely sliced chicken breast.
@@deborahfreedman333, I don't know what exactly Schnitzel means to an Israeli, but even in Austria it's possible to have a chicken schnitzel. You need to pound the chicken flat, bread it with flour, eggs, and bread crumbs, fry it, and then serve it without sauce. Traditionally, the meat is veal, but pork (probably not popular in Israel), turkey, and chicken can all be used, as long as you mention what kind of meat you're using. The biggest crime here is the accompanying sauce, though the use of kadayıf instead of bread crumbs and the failure to properly flatten the meat are also a crimes. The use of chicken is at worst a misdemeanor.
I love Seth Myers and I'm no purist, but I grew up in Vienna and that is a disgusting-looking Schnitzel recipe.
A. it is a chicken schnitzel. (popularised in Israel in the 1950s, pork was out of the question, and beef was too expensive)
B. the noodle crust is not traditional
This schnitzel looks good. If u don't have anything good to say, don't say anything
Mmm.. hairy chicken.
4:42 Did the audience really applaud this? 😂😂 Only in America
Clearly the seen try Seth to cook before 😂
I think clapping for deep fried food is a globally accepted pastime 😂
Shout out to the Palestinian ingredient kadaif and dish knafeh mentioned in the segment 🇵🇸
Anyone else think that cooking segments on late night are sort of weird? I mean, I don't like them in the morning either, so maybe it is me.
This one was sort of strange tbh, Seth had some in the past that were straight up hilarious. He was like a wild racoon let loose in the kitchen haha.
Yeah, food conversations are hard to get excited about. Hella awkward. But funny to watch.
It only seemed weird to me because it was sooo rushed. We don’t know what kind of brine he used for the chicken or what seasoning he used in the flour, or how hot the oil was or how he got the chicken cutlet so thin! It was funny to hear Seth talking with his mouth full tho.
You’d think solomonov would b Baltic not Israeli
Feed the ferals
wtf is "schug"? ima research that.
Habe ich da gerade Schnitzel gehört? Dieser Kommentarbereich ist ab sofort Eigentum der Bundesrepublik Deutschland!
Well, you are rolling leopards across the border, so I guess you get to do that 🤔
Na ja, mit der Tunke ist das vielleicht ein Bundesdeutsches Scnitzel. Aber kein echtes Schnitzel.
זה לא חשוב. בישראל, זה שניצל.
That restaurant name was a choice.
this is definitely not a real schnitzel ;-)
Not in Germany, but it is in Israel.
Well if you need your back cracked there's like a lot of chiropractors in this town. I also who they go to just to be polite I really don't care, nor do I want to be in the conversation but I suppose it's better to be polite.
SMH. This is not schnitzel but a new recipe. Using something that aren't breadcrumbs changes the recipe.
Don’t be nitpicky.
A schnitzel doesn’t necessarily have any crumbing. This is definitely schnitzel, the meat looks like it has been thinned nicely.
@@theromulans yes and kimchi is actually sauerkraut
@@davidchung3166 that's true, good observation
And the sauce is a crime against Schnitzel. Not to mention that he's using Kadayıf instead of bread crumbs. Also, contrary to Brett Daniels' claim, the chicken doesn't even seem to have been pounded flat. This is just fancy fried chicken pretending to be Schnitzel.
THE CHICKEN IS DRESSED BETTER THAN THE HOST.

Big part of your audience is vegan. You used to be pretty cool, I like how you wouldn’t have animals on the show anymore, well unless they’re dead. Did not enjoy the desecration of the Jackal skull or this. Sure I can take a Scollins joke but I don’t want to see flesh and bones.
You're vegan. I'm not.
relax
No more flesh and bones; I guess no more tank tops on set.
So...if I understand your objection correctly, you're saying that this segment could be categorized as an...Animal Flub?
Likes animals.
Does not like dead animals.
All animals should thus be immortal.
And not eaten.
Except maybe by other animals.
Wait...aren't we also animals?
