this is what screen chemistry looks like. They look like such good friends.
well they did date so
No they didn’t
THIS is what I want from my late night television. Never let the audiences back in. You've evolved past them.
YES, a thousand times Yes!
Yeah, I can't stand Colbert with the audience back.
100th like! 👍🏾
one thousand percent this
@@Richard_Nickerson I actually really ‘discovered’ him during this whole quarantine & I like it audience-less too, and I prefer ‘Quarantinewhile’ 😅😅
She is crushing it: her brain is so fast. Years of improv.
I felt like I was watching an improv master class.
WHAT!? idk to me she is so average. She always looks like she doesn't want to be there. She's aloof. Most would agree with you I know I just never got on the poehler* train
@@kzeich in the interview she said she becomes cocky as a defense mechanism when she is nervous so that is probably the aloofness you are picking up on.
@@kzeich what??!!
Well there's no room on the train anyway. 😑
She is as average as any other average real person. So what about it?
And please explain why you watch videos and comment on other comments when you don't even like her.
???
🤷♀️
Streets ahead
"does he take all Daniel Day?" is a thing now
I’m definitely using this
That pops into my head like once a day 😂
That whole whispering conversation was so engaging n funny, would not have been possible with audience's interfering noisy laugh.
And the producer Shoemaker's laugh. 😂
Seth and Amy's Daniel Day-Lewis tangent are the best.
they are amazing, love this rift.
Yes. It took almost all Daniel day. 😂
So much yes anding on display
I know how important the audience is but this format is so much better.
I've come to truly loathe the audience. I watched every Colbert segment during the pandemic. Now I'm thinking about unsubbing from him... the audience is the WORST part about these shows.
@@Richard_Nickerson agree- for Seth especially, he turns interviews into a conversation so easily and that's his best quality, the lack of audience helps that. That episode with Mulaney and the one with Wally the cue card guy are good examples, the audience wouldn't give a s- about a crew member being interviewed.
@@laurass20 you'd be surprised. Wally's a NY legend
@@lizrosabassoon
Only because of the new format forced by the pandemic. No one knew who he was or cared about him before 2020.
@@lizrosabassoon he's great.
Some excellent ad libbing there. You can see why they were both hired on SNL.
It was so good it almost felt scripted. They’re both so talented
@@norm-fy5mo Amy is a UCB founder.
And unlike when most people try to riff these days, they actually agreed with each other on everything.
@@norm-fy5mo
She's an original founder, along with SNL alum Horatio Sanz. And it would appear that half the cast of Parks & Rec came from there too.
You could hear it too
The best part about Amy being a guest on Seth's show is that they just do an entire improv show in the middle of the interview 🤣
we need a day drinking segment with Amy Poehler!!
Yes!
100%
Bring it on!
One with Jimmy,Tina,Seth and Amy
This was like hanging out at home with two of the funniest people who’ve ever lived. Comedy gold.
So just have Seth and Amy do this for 60 minutes a night. Bring Tina and Fred in as well. Maybe grab Kristen and Bill for a few minutes. Ok, just reunite that entire SNL cast. Thanks.
I don't think Seth need audiences right now 😂 I'm happy with this format
ME TOO! I’ve been wishing this for the longest. It’s funnier without an audience. Same for Desus & Mero
Yes! I prefer to wait to hear Amber or John Mulaney laugh hardest when everyone else’s laughter has died down. Strangers in the studio would just ruin the vibe that we, as an intimate group of best friends, have spent the last year cultivating.
We need a sea captain poll to decide it
@@babs8562 Scollins doesn’t get a vote, though
The tank top has disqualified him from any and all vote and vote-like activities, including but not limited to Rock Paper Scissors, coin flips, and punch buggy. But who are we kidding, we’ve seen his arms…. Scollins ain’t punching *nobody* with those soggy baguettes. .
I would feel badly about making that joke, but because we have gone through so much together and hav become such good friends, I can bust his balls. I love how close we are now!
@@helloiamthegirlracer hahaha jeeeez get emmm
So THIS is Tiny Secret Whispers! Now I understand why Seth is so obsessed with it!
"he's one of my Top 20 work friends" LMAO I don't know why that made me laugh so hard
we still don`t talk sometimes...
workplace proximity associates. :)
And then Shoemaker told me, "I'm gonna M. Night M. Night!" 💀
Watching you two nerds 'Yes And' each other is so freaking cute.
Hearing Amy call Tina Fey her "comedy wife" filled me up with so much joy that I had to hear that another two times! Dynamic comedy duo forever... along with Seth too!
strange
I love how he doesn’t interview her. They just talk. It’s like we are watching two friends go out to coffee together and just talk. And there just happens to be a camera recording it. And I love it!
"It's like, is your last name Day or Lewis, you know what I mean?"
"Oh absolutely"
this is HILARIOUS they're really like Emmys aren't watching we're going to do whatever the hell we want
nice
"I never talked about my time on SNL before. Anyway, welcome to Second Chance Theater."
I love this new private joke kind of connection with the show so much!
I'm losing my mind that "Corrections" got an Emmy Nomination. 😂😂😂
I’m not even kidding, I fully believe Monica would be Daniel Day Lewis’ best Friends impression.
Performing 10+ minutes of improv on a Late Night Network TV show is BADASS!
If ever ratings goes down for late night just bring in Amy Poehler she'll boost up ratings in a single day!! She and Seth together are the perfect pair from weekend Update on SNL to here. Love them ❤️
Maybe Daniel Day-Lewis DID get it… I mean, have we ever seen Kenan Thompson outside of SNL? 🧐
Hahahhaa
That whole whispering part felt like the Fred Armisen/Vanessa Bayer "_________'s Best Friends From Growing Up" bit
That was exactly where my mind went, too!
Amy's hair color is perfect!
It really is!!
I could watch Amy and Seth whispers crazy stories about Schumacher all day.
It's so weird to me that when somebody says "asshole" on air they beep the "hole" and not the "ass" :)
Probably because -bleep- hole sounds even worse once your imagination gets started.
@@MyAngrySanta And people self-censored "shithole" to s-hole which is somehow better. :D
It’s because ass isn’t a swear word, but asshole is.
@@jrojala lol what. “Hole” isn’t a swear word either my dude.
@@millymillymilly No he means when you ADD the 'hole,' there's no doubt that you didn't mean 'donkey'!
Improv to its core, with a sparse audience but not letting that get in the way of the play 👏
I love the _SNL_ skit where Seth and Amy are a passive aggressive married couple lol
I absolutely live for Seth and Amy’s improved bits
That was classic. I think what really entertains me about Seth and in this interview with Amy is that I realize they both are just being themselves. Making each other and those around them laugh. They no doubt love to make everyone around them laugh as a matter of everyday living. This riffing and improv on their SNL tryouts was just hilarious. I love it when Seth imitates Lorne. Mike Myers, Dana Carvey, and Fallon do funny impersonation of Lorne too.
This conversation made me feel like I was on drugs as well 🤣
I could just watch these two forever
the energy of two best friends just doing bits is so entertaining. i look forward to every time she comes on this show. absolute magic.
Improv masterclass. Never not love an interview with Amy. :)
I feel like there wasn't a shred of truth spoken in the first half of this whole video 😆
They are such a delight! Always love seeing them together
Can we have a regular 'Seth and Amy's stage whispers' segment? If we don 't get an 'Amy and Seth whisper about Scollins' bit, I'm gonna fake cry all over the internet :-(
Spent the whole segment being giggling idiots, then Amy just does her own plug. Amazing 😂
What a great team….”Shoemaker Whisperers”………bless you!
This. Was. Amazing.
So...this is the difference between a random guest who has their one "funny/interesting" story prepared and just two funny people having a good time.
I usually hate the guest spots but when you get a real comedian in there it just makes it so much fun to watch.
I can watch them all Daniel Day and all M Night.
I see what you did there 😉
amy continuing to bring the i am legend ref back into the bit is GOLDEN
“Best whispering interview on a talk show” Emmy is right around the corner!
This is my favorite thing about improv. I so miss them together!
This is so funny, they’re both excellent
Amy looks great and is the funniest we've seen....
I like Amy’s Lorne Michaels impression best. She makes him sound Canadian. Even more so than Mike Myers’ impression.
LOVE HER!!! “NEW PHONE, WHO DIS?” 🤣😂🤣
The second part of this segment was a guerilla marketing campaign for "Tiny Secret Whispers", wasn't it??
you guys are the best, you just click. Legends
Wow, it's hard to believe they're actually improv'ing most of this. This is crazy talented.
One of the greatest examples of 'Yes, and...'
After seeing Seth do Shoemaker in his Corrections segments so many times, it gives me so much joy to see Amy do him too.
Come On!, Give these 2 a podcast already.
This was a brilliant piece of television
Watching these two improv the crap out of an initial thought is simply amazing!
This belong to the "corrections" as a whole.
This audience-free format is SO much better. As much as I'd love to see a live taping of the show, please don't let me in the building!
This is the best interview they've ever done.
Wally with the cue card save at the end.
Classic Wally!
8:03 starts the two minute roast of Shoemaker
It was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING LMAO
i love how the titles do not at all describe the content of the videos with amy and seth
Nothing gets me happier than Amy’s appearances with Seth
Absolutely loved it. I love everything about this show these days.
Oh my gosh, I could just listen to Seth and Amy riff off each other FOREVER. Throw in Tina Fey and Jimmy Fallon on occasion, and maybe occasionally a couple others, and just rotate them out, but never ANYTHING planned, nor is it regular stand-up, just them riffing off each other for hours on end. It would become the soundtrack of my life.
i love this interaction so much! well done you polished improvisers and, also, friends :-)
This is the best run ever!!! I love them together. I am laughing my ass off virtually!!! #virtualaudience
literally obsessed w their dynamic 😭
They should make all guests read their own promo. :D
They have the best chemistry
I LOVE when Amy is on this show. Her, and Martha Stewart.
This was pure chaos and I love it
i can't believe they brought up daniel day lewis again. brilliant.
This is the best video I've seen this year!
I cried watching the bit about Shoemaker! Just so good
This is so so so great!
me cracking up at this whole bit as if I also auditioned for SNL 20 years ago, alongside amy and seth and perfectly understand all the inside jokes about shoemaker and lorne michaels hahaha
This is amazing
i swear amy and seth are the best duo they need a podcast
I like that they have a long conversation about the same topic, instead of constantly changing topic and getting sounds bytes for everything every minute. This is so much better
The BEST improv ever seen on TV. 😂😂😂
Amy and Seth doing improv for a whole segment. Fucking awesome
Thank you for this morning's gut-bust. I love laughing at people laughing. Muah!...i love you both.
I would like to see more of this stuff! Just Seth being real with his friends. Insanely funny, yet intimate.
Omg Amy is hilarious, I love them both. 😂
I’ve heard she’s one of the nicest people in the business. That’s why she’s a role model. You can be a boss, get stuff done & still be good to people. That’s part of why people get ahead. The DDLewis bit was so funny, he’s sooo extra
love these two so much. their chemistry is [chef's kiss]
More of this please. I'll watch all day.
The whispering about shoemaker reminds me of the weekend update bit vanessa bayer and fred armisen used to do hahaha
can we pls have a seth goes day drinking with amy?!
Wait. What?! Seth was on SNL?
OMG- Corrections is going to be so great this week.
Great continuous bit
Amy makes everything awesome! 💗
In tears!
