    Seeing how clothes hold up on the rack is a great tip. Instead of celebrating finding the one item in the pile without a snag, question why the other ten things are damaged just from being tried on a couple times!

      It depends on what the thing is and how frequently it’s worn. If it’s a warm jacket or coat it should last a very long time because it’s not constantly worn all year long. But I had a pair of Levi’s and people say jeans last forever but they were the ONLY jeans I had and I wore them ALL the time until they wore out and I had to get rid of them. I probably had them about a year. I definitely got my moneys worth from those jeans.

    The thing I wish I'd known before buying their sculpt knit garments is that it's really risky to use a de-piller on them. I LOVE my de-piller, and usually the risk of snags is super low, but for some reason with sculpt knit garments the risk of your de-piller snagging and creating an actually freaking hole in the garment is high. So the problem isn't just that they get fuzzy and pill, but that you can't easily smooth them back out again. :/

    • @stillyetanothersarah
      @stillyetanothersarah Před 6 měsíci

      What de-piller do you use? I'm trying to figure out which one to get!

    • @mayhit
      @mayhit Před 6 měsíci +1

      @@stillyetanothersarah I wanted to add: even my cheapo depiller works really well for tons of fabrics you might not even think of depilling. Like I found an old Burberry trenchcoat at a thrift store. The lining was a thin, densely woven plaid fabric--maybe a cotton blend of some kind, not fuzzy and wool-like at all. The entire lining had that grainy texture all over--itty bitty micro-pills that made it look dingy and worn. I shaved it and the fabric is now completely smooth and practically good as new.
      There are fabrics it probably can't be used on. Like I think you've probably get runs in the fabric if you tried to use it on a sateen. And for some reason it's risky to use it on Aritzia's sculpt knits. But it works on the majority of fabrics, not just big fluffy sweaters.

  • @dlv992
    @dlv992 Před 6 měsíci

    Aritzia does not refund your money for returned items on sale. Their return policy is ambiguous and confusing on purpose. If your item is on sale, you can only receive store credit. Once you buy something from them, they keep your money forever, even if you return your items on time. This makes them look more like a lending scheme than a legit operation.

    Aritzia overall is a pretty shit quality store. There’s a hype of some sort behind it but it’s not worth any dollar

    You know if anything looks bad on the rack maybe it’s “horrendous, fast fashion- created by literal slaves” -quality, and you shouldn’t buy it

    • @angelicadoesroblox9226

      Aritzia doesn’t do that, they have people who go to warehouses all the time and such to avoid slave labour.

    I don't know if it's the same fabric as they used before or not, because I have a top of theirs I got a few years ago and the fabric is ribbed but it has held up just fine.

    With a lot of ribbed fabrics it's smarter just to wash them and let them air dry😊
    Edit: I bought several ribbed items off of Temu, I wore two of them all you have to do is wash them in cold water on the gentle cycle and then let them line dry.

      @@francescacasar I live in the US, my main problem is finding pants/shorts/skirts because I’m very short (4’11’) and I’m quite slim in my waist, so pants are either too long or too big most of the time
