It depends on what the thing is and how frequently it’s worn. If it’s a warm jacket or coat it should last a very long time because it’s not constantly worn all year long. But I had a pair of Levi’s and people say jeans last forever but they were the ONLY jeans I had and I wore them ALL the time until they wore out and I had to get rid of them. I probably had them about a year. I definitely got my moneys worth from those jeans.
it definetly depends, like another replier said. a winter coat in a temperate climate? that shouldn't last ONLY 1-2 years. a hoodie you wear daily and wash constantly? yeah, that makes sense.
Another thing is their “vegan leather”. It’s just polyester and I thought it would last for a while but after 2 years of usage it literally shredded and left leather crumbs everywhere. I had to throw it out.

The thing I wish I'd known before buying their sculpt knit garments is that it's really risky to use a de-piller on them. I LOVE my de-piller, and usually the risk of snags is super low, but for some reason with sculpt knit garments the risk of your de-piller snagging and creating an actually freaking hole in the garment is high. So the problem isn't just that they get fuzzy and pill, but that you can't easily smooth them back out again. :/
@@stillyetanothersarah I wanted to add: even my cheapo depiller works really well for tons of fabrics you might not even think of depilling. Like I found an old Burberry trenchcoat at a thrift store. The lining was a thin, densely woven plaid fabric--maybe a cotton blend of some kind, not fuzzy and wool-like at all. The entire lining had that grainy texture all over--itty bitty micro-pills that made it look dingy and worn. I shaved it and the fabric is now completely smooth and practically good as new. There are fabrics it probably can't be used on. Like I think you've probably get runs in the fabric if you tried to use it on a sateen. And for some reason it's risky to use it on Aritzia's sculpt knits. But it works on the majority of fabrics, not just big fluffy sweaters.
Anything ribbed spandex adjacent is actually regularly at TJMAXX- and it holds tf UP. I’ve had a few tops for close to 3 years with no pilling, snagging, or any sign of them becoming misshapen.
I bought a shirt like this from them a few years back and it just looks so horrible now!!! Didn’t take long for all the snags, was so disappointed, as you mentioned, because of the price tag
It’s fine if you feel that way. We all have different taste. For me Aritzia is one of the only stores I like and shop at, because the clothing is versatile enough and most importantly, they fit my petite frame properly. No other brand aside from the luxury brands have clothing that actually feel tailored to my sizing.

I have several styles and theyre my favourite tank tops. I get them sexond hand and just depill if needed. 3 years for one, and then 1 year and 6 months respectively
Same I have like a dozen of them and they’re all still perfect. Some are newer but some I’ve had for 6 or 7 years and they do not look old at all. I love how they fit and so easy to pair with other items. Also some color ways go on sale so to me they’re perfect wardrobe staple.

I'm not sure if it helps, but one of my favourite ways to wear them in the off season is as almost like a vest over something with poofy sleeves (kinda 70s inspired?) or turtleneck

If you’d like to wear it day-to-day, aside from exercisin, avoid Nulu material (e.g. align style) and wash everything in gentle cycle with exercise clothes only (no cotton) on gentle cycle. And air dry. I wash my Nulu fabric in laundry net. None of my leggings have pilled so far. While Nulu fabric is the softest, if you rub it against anything repeatedly, it will pill (like regular bag strap against my Nulu top).😂

if you're into disposable consumerism, go for it. But just keep in mind that by buying these shoddy fabrics, you're contributing to waste bc these clothes will inevitably fall apart faster.

Omggg I was had by Aritzia during the pandemic and I just have tons of Aritzia stuff that I don’t want. Some items I couldn’t return bc of the asinine return policy, it’s like 28 days from the day you order or the day your order ships lol not from the delivery date. I either gave things to my little sisters (thankfully) have sold other items on Posh/Mercari, and the rest is just sitting in my closet..some things NWTs but I can’t wear them bc they are unraveling in so many places. Those freaking faux leather pants, the ribbed anything, any of their contour stuff too it just does not look flattering…keep exposing them it’s too much.
I have a vintage regular ol ribbed sweater from my GRANDPARENTS that’s probably over 15 years old at this point and it’s literally in perfect shape and I wear it to bed because it’s oversized. So it’s not like I treat it gently 😂 What the hell happened to quality fabrics that last? Lol. These companies want us to keep coming back when the stuff breaks.. like iPhone chargers 😅

Yeah, the ribbed materials I absolutely hate because I once wore one and it had a cinched band unlike other tank tops, which I thought was interesting and the entire time it was riding up mind you this is a crop top so you know I was at school wearing a half top That was riding up to my boobs, which was really awkward

Everything I have ever bought at Aritzia has either come with holes (bought online), buttons fall off in a matter of days, or straight up just has fallen apart within months. All different fabrics and garments too.
Aritzia does not refund your money for returned items on sale. Their return policy is ambiguous and confusing on purpose. If your item is on sale, you can only receive store credit. Once you buy something from them, they keep your money forever, even if you return your items on time. This makes them look more like a lending scheme than a legit operation.

I don't know if it's the same fabric as they used before or not, because I have a top of theirs I got a few years ago and the fabric is ribbed but it has held up just fine.
With a lot of ribbed fabrics it's smarter just to wash them and let them air dry😊 Edit: I bought several ribbed items off of Temu, I wore two of them all you have to do is wash them in cold water on the gentle cycle and then let them line dry.

target sell the ribbed fabric for like $5-7 a tank
This is the same fabric as Zara's seamless collection. You sneeze beside that fabric and it snags.

its probably snagged cause of SAs and customers when putting product on rack. Especially if its a full rack, the hooks can easily snag.

I don't know if it's the same fabric as they used before or not, because I have a top of theirs I got a few years ago and the fabric is ribbed but it has held up just fine.

With a lot of ribbed fabrics it's smarter just to wash them and let them air dry😊
Edit: I bought several ribbed items off of Temu, I wore two of them all you have to do is wash them in cold water on the gentle cycle and then let them line dry.

@@francescacasar I live in the US, my main problem is finding pants/shorts/skirts because I’m very short (4’11’) and I’m quite slim in my waist, so pants are either too long or too big most of the time
