Couple of pointers I would add: 1 use clear hose if you can. It's easier to see the fluid change color also lets you see air bubbles. 2. Put an inch or so of brake fluid in your catch can, then make sure your hose stays in the fluid. This will prevent sucking air in the system if you forget to close the border before releasing the clutch lever. 3 Brake fluid will seriously mess up paint and c
great job the best I've seen so far. close up of the process and showing the part and where and what to do was fantastic for the novice. can't wait to do this now.
Thanks for the tips Mark! Can't wait to do this on my bike. Just bought an old Intruder this past weekend and am looking to do all the tuning up I can do. This helped a ton!
A very good instructional video, thank you.. A little casual about splashes from the clutch fluid on to the paint and bright work though.. made that mistake on my Bonnie, years ago.. still smarting!
Hi good old joe, Happy Thanksgiving it's the day after. I bought a C90 2005 that was sitting in the rain last year at a car lot, a guy had traded it in for a car it wasn't running and I had a tow truck take it to the shop. They fixed it up it got running good it's running fine but I just thought it only had 3,900 miles on it that's why I bought it. So I did like you're doing it's it's take the plate off expose the brake master cylinder it's a my version is a hydraulic crutch but it has bleeder hoses it's going to bleeder and then the other thing is I'd like to check the injectors. Are you able to show me how to access I don't have a shop manual and you know I'm just about homeless now but I am getting a job so thank God, but I want to work on the bike a little bit I changed my differential fluid using the hypoid 1850 weight dear oil I change the engine oil I use drama lube I like using mineral oil not synthetic so that's about it thank you
Had a problem with my stepson 800 and it would go about 10 miles then the clutch was not grabbing, after it sat awhile, then I could go another 10 to 15 miles and it stop working again. I was told I might have air in the line, for I already replaced the clutch disc. So, tomorrow I will try to get the air out of the line and see if it starts running like it should....Thanks.......Bobby
I just bought a 92. Thanks a bunch I'll be refilling and bleeding my clutch soon.

Chrome. Cover anything that may get brake fluid on it with plastic. It is also bad for you...wear gloves.
I like your suggestion but in my experience (which is vast) I've never seen brake fluid hurt any paint unless the vehicle was very recently painted.

what was ur problem with the clutch ? not enough pressure to disengage ?
Did it fix it,my bikes clutch same as yours
What type of fluid did you use?
Dot4 is basically universal for bikes, don’t take my word for it though, it’s just what I’ve heard
Dot 4 is what i ues on the same bike just did mine yesterday.
But look on the cap of the clutch or brake Reservoir it should say what to use!.
Where’s the part 3?
