WINWING vs VIRPIL: Which One Am I Keeping?

- I've always loved the Winwing F18 Combat Ready and Take-Off Panels but recently I moved to the Virpil Control Panel #2. As my flight sim journey started to progress. The Winwing flight panels seemed to be the wrong tool for the job. In comes the Virpil!
In this video, I explain my reasons for ditching Winwing for Virpil control panels. This might be helpful if you're in the market for a button flight sim button box

Great video, thanks! I also have the Virpil gear (Hotas, panels). I'd love to see your bindings for the various aircraft you fly. I have trouble making use of all the buttons, a bindings guide would be fantastic.
That’s a great idea. Currently working on rebuilding the sim at the moment. Once it’s all back up and running I’ll definitely create one of those.

I don't get it. Keep 'em both and use the WingWing when you fly the F18 and the Virpil for other jets, or even use them all in concert and have the Virpil gear lever as the flaps switch. Win Win :)
Would definitely be an option but when the virpil can do almost every thing the win wind does I had to go with virpil. Just got the customisability of it.
Would you like to sell me the Winwing panels? I’m just starting out in DCS and, like you when you were a lad, I’m only interested in the F18.

@@g-locmedia no worries and worth the ask. I’m just bashing my head against the wall trying to get Winwing to refund my purchase as their courier won’t deliver to my address and thought I might get lucky. I’m looking at the Virpil now following your recommendation.

Yeah, I think WinWing are still the best, the Orion 2 was a great Hotas for the money, and it feels amazing! But to each their own

Winwing screams mostly DCS and Virpil works well with everything else for games such as space simulators and flight simulators. Man its Apple vs Android or Toyota vs Nissan. Pick your pick and you'll be fine. Ok, you caught me... imma Ram, Apple, Virpil gumby! :)

Virpil makes ugly button boxes, just like Reaperware. Ugly as sin and don't even look like they belong m in a cockpit. Truck sim box.
The Winwing, on the other hand, is beautiful and has so many buttons, it's really all you need. And it actually looks like it was ripped out of a real cockpit.
I have to disagree. I love the virpil boxes. Yea Winwing boxes are nice too and very different design.
