thanks John :) ohww it does? Ahhh yes you are correct.. the V1 had a Runcam Racer 2.. the new Hybrid has a Phoenix2.. Excellent FPV cam! I flew it a lot las weekend ;) czcams.com/video/EhMFoxCe1Go/video.html
Thanks for the comparison. Recently upgraded my whoopick to a Foxeer Toothless 2 Nano Starlight and the night performance of that version is pretty good, reminds me of my old Micro Eagle. I also recently got the RC Phoenix 2 Micro for my 5" LR build and was curious if the nano would be as good in low light and at night because it's almost half the weight. Think I'll stick with the micro, at least until I really want to get it under 250g.
You're welcome and this was (for me as well) an interesting comparison.. I wondered if it was wurth the extra space / weight to use the bigger cam.. turnst out it IS :)
Great review, dude! Awesome comparison! 😃 Both those cameras seem to have the same sensor, as I told you a while back. And the Caddx Ratel as well BTW. The image looks better in the Foxeer camera, but I bet it's only the stock tune. I bet you can tune the RunCam to look identical to the Foxeer. 😉 Anyway, in my opinion, it's better for us, consumers. Seems like a great sensor and you aren't stuck to one brand. 😊 Stay safe there with your family, dude! Take care! 🖖😊
Thank you very much sir and YES.. I am not 100% sure if the sensor is the same, but could be.. lens, and signal procossing isn't though but the color-rendition can probably made to be identical :) Cheers & stay safe as well!
I am just printing a small canopy that would enable me to put a Toothless 2 Nano on my KababFPV toothpick frame. The NewBeeDrone v2 Canopy is too small for the lens of it. I have currently a Caddx Ant Lite (FPV Cycle Edition) with the larger lens on it, but for some peculiar reason the receiver module in my Skyzone 04X freaks out of the signal from the Caddx camera. I have an Emax Tinyhawk II modded with a Toothless 2 Nano and there the picture is just perfect. So I really hope that having a different VTX (TBS Nano 32 Pro vs Emax VTX) will not make any difference and I get the amazing picture quality that I am familiar with from my Tinyhawk II....
ah yes. camera / VTX incompatibilities.. I have not run into those myself but did stear away from them a couple of times.. Usually however it has to do with the combo of a camera and your video-Receiver??
@@DutchRC Probably the receiver module in the goggle is most dominant. I don't know whether Skyzone is still working on a new FW, the latest from June did not help for me. I have tried a module calibration, where you press a tiny button on the actual module, it starts to blink and it should be done. You need to perform this without antennas and no VTX sending actively. Might have helped, but now I am changing cameras anyhow.
at 8:15 the bp fuel station you can see the prices are clearer in the toothless 2 . things i look for in a camera low latency, accurate colour rendition, clarity, low fish eye effect, good low lights and fast exposure.
it is true mr. Steve.. everybody looks for different things.. also depends on the application I guess.. On a (not proximity) 7" quad I don't need the utmost of low-latency I guess.. etc etc :)
You're right about the gas prices but the Runcam looks better when looking at clusters of branches which I tend to look at more often than gas prices while flying :)
@@DutchRC Right now I'm running out of time, my wife is sick and can't move so I have a lot to do, but it should get better in a while and I could make new videos .
Nice comparison video. I like the toothless Nano better but you are right to point out the weird voltages. I was just hoping for some clickbait toothless girls in this video but was disappointed 😂 cheers DRC!
LOL yeahhh I was fresh out of toothless photomodels this time :P also couldn't find any that looked like Phoenix :P Better luck next time :D Cheers brother.. keep safe :)
Come on man, You're comparing 2 good low light performers, you even put Night in the title but you didn't even care to put a night comparison. I understand that it is time consuming and whatever, but since you are doing it you might do it the right way 🤨
LOL :) I'll tell you what: I flew the Toothless at night while it was freezing and raining / snowing.. Look up the review ;) But I really don't think a lot of people will even want to be really flying at Night.. Evening Maybe.. These aren't really Night camera's anyway.. like the Cat 2
on paper pretty similar camera's but ARE they really??

@Michael Morgan you sound like me talking about Gopro's :P
FunFact: If you cross eyes on this video you will see in 3D
Ohwwwww so That's why I kept seeing things in 3D while editing this :D
Good episode. I come hear because I just ordered Runcam hybrid 2, which includes the Phoenix 2 nano.
thanks John :)

The keyword is detail. Well done. I am however looking for a night camera at the moment.
in That case, this might be the video for you :)
