The late 80s and 90s were unstoppable for culture. These themes are inexorably burned into my mind forever, and I got all of the themes (from the shows I actually watched, anyway) within two or three notes.

Man totally miss growing up in the 90s being a child of the 90s these theme songs bring back so many memories!
Plus the fact that shows now rarely have openings anymore and if the do, they're 10 seconds long or just put the show's name on a black screen, barely being able to call something like that and opening theme. When the theme song were and are something that helps sell what the show is about, aside from presenting the cast and some clips, and are able in 30 to 60 seconds (90 seconds sometimes), to take us back years back to when we watched those shows growing up.

I love how all my favorite shows had the most iconic intro themes: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Saved by the Bell, The X-Files, Seinfeld, Friends, Beverly Hills 90210, Full House, Home Improvement, Baywatch, 3rd Rock from the Sun and Melrose Place. Absolutely amazing shows all of them.
@@tune2gr3is82 Sorry but no. I'm gonna be honest here, we just didn't get many black TV shows here in Europe when I was a kid. The only black TV show I watched during the 90s was "The Cosby show" and maybe a few episodes of "Fresh Prince of Bel Air".
Instantly smiled when I heard Kelsey Grammer singing “Tossed Salad and Scrambled Eggs”. Loved Frasier and still do.

My uncle was a mixer and producer of some of the X-files music. He died a couple years ago, but he had a long and varied career in music and showbiz.

I am so glad that they put The X-Files in this video. While I never grew up in the 90s, I have definitely become a super fan of this iconic series. From Mulder and Scully and the X-files themselves to the famous theme song and the catchphrase, "The truth is out there," this show is truly a 1990s legend.

I thought the theme for Frasier sounded weird. I wasn't a big fan of the show, but I thought it would sound differently...maybe what I remember is a second version, and they used the first version here?

Not-so-smart aleck This was one of the two (very similar to each other) versions usually playing over the end credits of Frasier. There is no real theme music as there is only a short jazz type music clip as intro out of a pool of several such clips, different for each episode.

I watched mostly 70s and 80s tv shows, but I like the music on these 90s shows too - Buffy, X-Files, Dawson's Creek, Felicity, 90210, Frasier (nice little jazz ditty), Baywatch (nice intro), ER, and Party of Five all have great theme songs. Great trip down memory lane, thanks! :)

Hearing the Party of Five theme made me almost tear up...I haven't heard that in over 20 years and I used to watch that all the time.

I Used to watch alot of tv back in the early 90's & I have watched The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air,Family Matters,Blossom,Full House,Sister Sister,Roseanne,Step By Step,Saved By The Bell,Boy Meets World & Home Improvement & so i could guess them but the others i couldn't

The 80's were far easier. In the 90's I started recording and fast forwarding to the content. In retrospect, I should've slowed down and savoured it all.

Yeah, the writers and actors became obsessed with making political statements, instead of keeping the "flyover country" masses in mind who actually formed most of their core audience. Unless its on a religious channel, we don't watch TV for a sermon, nor do we want one. Hopefully, the people behind TV now will get their act together someday.

Č R Arguably Full House & Friends had better theme songs, but they weren't the best SHOWS, not even close. Full House, to me, was & is unwatchable--a nauseating piece of crap. Friends is overrated because of Jennifer Aniston (if Aniston wasn't in the show, it would've been mediocre at best, IMHO). The other shows mentioned here (Fresh Prince, Seinfeld, Home Imp.) were much better, much funnier.

I knew 16 of them. Although “Boy Meets World” I was familiar with but I couldn’t put my finger on it initially. I think I knew more of these because I watched a lot of the shows but also I can remember hearing tidbits of these songs in some of the trailers for these shows when a new season would begin or they would be advertising the show.
I think after they changed theme most forgot the original theme to Boy Meets World.
I always do the punch because Brandon does in the intro of Beverly Hills 90210.

They didn’t cheat, it’s the correct song. The “Step by Step” part came later in the song. This video played the beginning of the song.

They're only listing scripted shows it seems, which may be why. COPS was also huge(& awesome, it was amazing how much they showed sometimes) in the 90s.

First season intro. That's why...
They changed theme multiple times during the show. The song that we all know didn’t happen until like the fifth season which was Cory, Shawn and Topanga senior year of high school.
