Congrats Yuto BUT BUT, My man Decenzo. That man deserves SOTY 2023. He's got my vote. Gets better and better as he ages.
Say it louder!
@@adamsmith583 I would but my kids are sleeping. haha.
decent should of got soty so long ago. i doubt they will give it to him now. his thrasher my war double set kick flip is nuts also surgery thrasher part.
The old man decenz
the old man Deacenz almost took it
He keeps getting under scored. He's flipping innn grinds & going Big (Ryan Decenzo)
Decenz still getting podium spots pushin 40… unheard of in action sports. 🤘🏽
His first run should've won the gold. The love for yuto is dumb imo
So true. He gets better with age.
He's the same age as me, It hurts really bad to fall at this age. The guy is abnormal
@@adamsmith583yuto's run was better dude
age doesnt usually wont stop people. it's injuries. it just seems like age because the longer you've skated, the more time there has been to get injured.
Decenzo should get extra points for being 37. His 1st run was sick. Frontside flip over the set was gnar. Should’ve been 90+
True that! Yuto doesn’t do any flip trick into anything, maybe 🤔 one but all he does is turning is body into rails always, is getting old tho 😅
@@edgarpetrenko1907yeah but yuto is putting down heavier tricks that no one else can do
Decenzo first run > Yuto first run ; Yuto always favored by judges
i thought dude got robbed in that first one too...and you could see the look on his face. i think he agreed
that´s true ..Decenzo with 37 years old is a best in the skateboarding ..
Yuto's style is so unbelievably clean I just love watching that dude skate

@@TheDantheman12121 fr fr
it's like poetry without the feeling that's still somehow expert wordplay. i do really appreciate his skating but my favorite run was one of decenzo's.
@@ashxc I agree bro! Decenz is amazing
46:45 Announcer yelling at Yuto to smile 😂
It was so hilarious 😂
Yuto maxed out spin ability
WHO ELSE WAS CHECKING EVERY 10 MINUTES FOR THIS UPLOAD LOL
Waiting the Whole day in Germany it’s 1am, lets gooo
Turn them notifications on boyeeeee..I was so pumped when I got the notification
Lololol same timezone. Was so stoked in vienna yeeeaaahhh
Samesies
I was there
decenzo. still incredible after ALL these yearS!!!
Nobody skated before like hes doing at his 37, unbelivable, he already won diamond medal for that
Props to Garry for cleaning up his commentary skills. He is actually entertaining when he dials it back a bit.
great observation
he really wasnt that annoying in this
And he called out the tricks this time👍
He’s always been entertaining.
That was the first thing I noticed. I had to look to see if it was a different person 😂
"x-games commercial free, thank you monster" - made my day...
Yuto run is one of the legends run in the skateboard history…
Wish I could mute Garry
Run 1 Silver Run 2 Gold Congratulations Yuto❤️
skated for 15 years , stooped at 25 , im 35 now and got back on a board recently , watching yuto is motivating to start pushing the wood around again ,
Love to hear it
Nice dude I just turned 33 and thought about buying a complete. Looked around and everything is so different than it was in the 2000’s.
Garry has actually gotten to be a good commentator. He's giving more information about the tricks as they happen, giving a little more insight, and giving stoke without being crazy or annoying like he used to be in his first couple years on the mic. Stoked for Ryan.
I can't wait till everyone gets tired of Yuto's 270 boardslide variations. Mad respect to Decenzo, at his age, taking the most impact.
Not a single flip into a slide or grind. Yuto does some crazy tricks that nobody does. But like you say I'm tired of the same tricks over and over🤔
Everyone Looks tired, but Nollie 270 variations are so dificult..Just that
better than treflips into lip slides/board slides
Well, its really hard to be consistent at several types of hard tricks. Giovanni has his fakie go-tos, yuto is a nollie rotation guy, carlos ribeiro has crook nollie flips and 360 flips etc.. id say that Jagger probably has the deepest bag, consistency considered. But once the world does get tired of yutos nollie 360s, im sure he will already have moved onto the next craziest thing.
@@TheJoaomaciel switch frontside healflip into noseslide double set handrail. Just that👍
Don't get me wrong, Yuto is good..same tricks. But Ryan was pretty much the only one doing flips down the double set, kelvin was flipping into tricks and the massive sign as well. But aye congrats to the winner
💯
Gotta say, Kelvin H was robbed. His was the best line and flow of the day. Yuto is awesome, and maybe his approach is akin to Malto's SLS victories when he had it 'figured out'? Regardless, great skateboarding. KH won imo.
"Wow, how do you start your run that way?!"
"Be Brazilian"
😂
"There's first place and then there's super first place" basically sums up Yuto right now haha.
Glad they’re back to having sick courses. The x games always used to have cool courses that looked like video game levels then they fell off for a while. This one is dope.
Drink a beer everytime Nyjah kicks his trucks lol
If I could skate like Yuto, I’d be grinning ear to ear. He didn’t smile much, but wow, he makes his lines look easy. So smooth.
Definitely one of my favorite courses I've ever seen for any skate event. Reminiscent of the THPS or Skate games, which I'm absolutely loving. We need more courses like this. Also, would love to see more real street events, maybe even some in a place where we could get some lines, not just best trick? 🤙
Can you guys post videos with Gary muted aswell
That Yuto sugarcane was so sick
Ryan Decenzo became incredibly good out of the bloom, it felt like he had no time for skateboarding now he does.
Decenzo is showing no signs of slowing down in his mid thirties with is freaking. Awsome
The goat
Super fun to watch! Great job x games! felt just like watching x games growing up
What a privilege to watch these magnificent human beings. Much respect, I feel so inspired!
decenzo is the definition of a cool uncle
Yuto is the only man not to send one fliptrick down something and win a gold medal
Great to see such course diversity. I see the influence of DIY spots in places throughout. 2023 is a standout year. So many NBD's in all disciplines.
i legitimately cannot believe Decenzo is 37 years old
Yuto is so smooth...🎉
They nerf’d hofler. His first run was flawless.
Way better than Decenzo’s
the best x games in a long time!
Could see Yuto was all out of gas when he had to do his victory lap.
The gifted hater video about to be epic
Big facts!
Nollie 270 into slides < Switch frontside heel flip into tail slide
I would much rather attempt a switch heel tail slide than a nollie backside 270 board slide on anything, let alone a double set handrail
True. But Nyjah landed it extremely sketchy while Yuto always lands everything absolutely flawless. Are we not taking that into account?
We are going commercial free *proceeds to add in commercial for monster energy and calling the brand several times*
Need minimum 1080p guys. 4k ... thx
Fr, it’s 2023 😂😂
I believe Decenzo deserved it. Yuto is very young. Has a long career ahead of him. Many more contests to come. Decenzo is one of the last of his age group. Would have liked to see him get this one. But props to Yuto.
i really do wish we could give him an honorary gold.
Im surprised nyjah didnt say tony's 900 was his favorite, as that is argueably skateboardings biggest moment and potentially kept it around
Yuto cold blooded assassin
"Dark Horse" means UNDERDOG. Underrated Contender. Ignorance is out of style you KOOKS!
Kelvin my man always!!! Congrats!!! 🙏❤️
Big up Yuto, Decenzo and Gary Rogers! 💥💥💥
I was starting to think that Nyjah might be on the decline, but then I remember that he just came back from a nasty injury
Yeah he’s still got some great years ahead of him. I’m no pro at anything and certainly never had such an injury (broken lower back and both fibula bones before) but I will say at 32 I still feel as good as I did at 27 which is considered the peak of the male body usually. Hopefully he comes back stronger than ever I absolutely love to watch that man
CA skateparks with another beautiful course ! So sick. This is my
Hometown baby
Yuto's power level just continues to rise..love that guy ❤️🔥🤘
Also, Commercial free = goated! Thank you MONSTER !!! 🙏
Can’t believe on the disrespect for Gustavo Ribeiro final run, with an interview on top.
Yuto has some flow that I’ve never seen before. Everything he does is so smooth🔥
Bro I can’t be the only one that thought Nyjah’s Run #2 was way better than an 86?!?!?!?!?!
Nah 86 was just fine . Glad yuto won and glad that kelvin came in second 😁🔥🔥🔥
@@GamerDaSkateryuto sucks, he does the same tricks the last 5 years. Not 1 flip trick
I agree- should have gotten bronze. Hoffler should be 4th. Decenzo second, and Yuto obviously with the W. That sugarcane was inhuman.
@@MrNight-iw9md ong that sugarcane was sooo dirty !! Just pulls that out of no where . He could of done that in best trick , but he was just saving that for the finals 😁. Good to see him win both 🔥🔥🔥
@@GamerDaSkaterThat's cause you can't get the shlong out you're mouth. 270s are not harder than flip to stuff. You're just slow.
...its Not only about that skate style, but also that Kind of certain Smile Kelvin Hoefler got, that makes me think of "yep reborn jesus"
Yuto could miss all of his tricks and still get gold. Judges playing favorites 🤷♂️
Facts!
Not really everyone loves to hate when you’re on top lol. I remember when Nyjah got the same hate a couple years ago
@@JByrddddnyjah atleast does flip tricks
@@adamsmith583 People only say that now. Go back to the SLS and X Games videos when he won and there’s always comments of him being “overscored” and judges “favoring” him and how he shouldn’t have won gold. It’s clearly about hating whoever is on top then when they’re no longer on top now you’ll come around and say “well at least he did flip tricks” after the fact because he’s no longer on top
I feel like I’ve been watching the same run and tricks from Yuto the past three years..
i cant miss out on X Games, watch yall every time🔥
I like how Nyjah always smiles even after messing up. Cool guy.
That was a great comp I really wanted ryan to win and when Kelvin hit that after the buzzer I originally said I didn't want it to count but I'm glad it did they should have a last banger rule where if you're on the way to the obstacle even just running to put the board down it should count in the line they shouldn't have to rush for the last trick when it's usually the make or break trick of the run the judging was perfect the riders killed it and thr announcers kept you right in it all great broadcast xgames
Are we sure it even did though, who knows maybe score would be even higher but I do wonder and I agree completely if you are on your way rolling up to an obstacle the trick done on it should count 100%.
Like in basketball if ball leaves hand after the buzzer it will count
@Weather_Nerd I believe they did his run was good but nothing out of the ordinary for the caliber or skaters but that banger at the end really made his whole run
that was fun man thanks x games
Yuto is insane, what he makes is so difficult. However, I think ratings are a bit overrated imo as he doesn't flip or whatever before his grinds, reducing the risks.
how on earth we comparing nyjah's level of skating (fakie or regs only), he throwing standard k grinds middle of the run.. i know shane ain't got the consistency but man, there is a HUGE difference between the r*pist, yuto, decenzo, hoefler and massive shouts to vianna doing the big big S U R proud, SOMOS LATINOS! A TODA MADRE!!!!!!
Obviously worst victory lap, he should have just walked that last one.
Nyjah's second run in my opinion isn't better than Hoefler's First Run. I'd put the ranks as potentially Hoefler in First, Decenzo Second, Horigome Third for the second runs. Hoefler's run was siick.
Decenzo is the definition of built different.
For me watching reel time. Kelvin hoefler one his first run deserved a 8.5 I’m confused why the scored him so low.
They robbed kelvin so hard 😡
Kelvin seems to get robbed a lot. That kickflip crooks. Best trick on the bar all competition.
Mano, eu diria que ajudaram ele demais até, aquele flip bs tail foi bem depois do sinal, nem deveria contar e contou.
He always do
I think maybe cause it was after the buzzer.
@@frederickarchibaldchumly-w2163naw the sugarcane was the sickest trick on there
Really enjoyed watching the skateboard competitions, are there other channels that host them when the X games aren't on?
5:22 Chris Roberts CREEPIN lol
He is the special guest today
ready for the gifted hater video
That Kevin Hoefler score is not right.
Is there a particular reason why 270 into a slide gets more score than a flip in or out? I can't tell if one would be more difficult as i don't skate. Regardless of scores all of these guys are brilliant to watch!
nollie variation, uncommon trick, perfect landing!
they all have a point in common: everybody tre flips up the euro
Gary got talked to by the boss for sure. Sounding salty and unusually quiet. Probably the O’Neill comment during best trick yesterday.
What did he say?
This might be the most pumped I’ve seen these skaters in awhile. Not sure what’s different but let’s lock that in for next year.
Love Yuto but would love to see him get pentalized for doing so many nollie cabs. And other guys should get pentalized for doing so many kickflips. We should see more nollie flips, heel flips. Remember when everyone would throw big flips? Also I’m talking straight kickflip if ur doing it with a 180 or fakie. Diff trick But so often I see someone whip out the kickflip/treflip cuz it’s consistent and every T. I wanna see someone try to bust out a inward heel.
Look at how many people just kick flipped down the drop. Or in elimination kickflip crook. Don’t see flip out much anymore from everyone. Or big spin back tails or other way around. Actually on 3rd run the one time yuto tried to spin or flip his board he missed. Not even tryna be a Yuto hater cuz obv he’s so gnarly and gifted but he’s had the same contest run for how long now?
Also homie grew up skating vert HE GOT NOLLIE TRICKS. He learned vert in the nollie pop into stuff era. He has like nollie 540s on vert 🤯 but he never really shows his transition skills in runs like Jager
The best run wins in this format, so of course the skaters are going to prioritize consistency. If you miss a single trick, you have no chance of winning the competition. Why would they throw around weird tricks or flip outs?
@@sk8_bort contest skating is also a viewer sport. If every single contest each contestor does the same run they've always been doing to win. People are going to stop watching. Yuto has a BAG OF TRICKS he can do more than just nollie cab variations. And these are professional skaters and best of the best. They can do flip outs. Not saying they gotta do weird tricks they can do DIFFERENT TRICKS. If a homie at my park can do a flip out, have a 9-5, and not be a sponsored skater. Judges should kinda make these guys get out of their comfort zone. Ribeiro can crook nollie flip out every try. Maybe he shouldn't score as good on that trick if it's the trick he does in every contest in every run. What's the point of watching the next event when I'm going to see the same lines, same skaters, doing same tricks.
Stoke to see Ryan podium!
Congratulations Yuto
Yuto is incredible!
Kelvin had the best run. Nyjah shouldve got 2nd and yuto 3rd. Just my opinion
Did Yuto flip his board?
why hoefler got scored so low for the first run?
NYJAH HUSTON NEEDS TO STOP ALL THAT PARTYING LOL FR ITS CATCHIN UP TO HIM ?.....IDK YUTO DESERVES BUT NYJAH MY BOYYYYYYY
Could you not put the medal winners in the thumbnail picture please?
Lets goooo
Yuto is sick as f…
But… I’m getting really tired of the soft juding handing him the victory for the exact same tricks every time for years. He can always expect a win if he pulls out the nollie bs 360 lip and all the nollie bs variations that he has on lock. At least this time we saw him flip his board on two tiny gaps in the beginning of his run… I will say though that the bs sugarcane was a welcome, awesome addition.
Well said
@@timoshiigarushia Sora Shirai is the only one who does tricks as hard as Yuto. Problem is he isn't as consistent as Yuto. Sora when he's on can beat YUto though.
@@timoshiigarushiaThis. I don’t disagree with original comment, Yuto does do a lot of the same things but idk if these people understand the difficulty involved and why pretty much no one else is doing them
If yuto does the same tricks and wins, I would do the same tricks as yuto to be able to compete at his level. There is a reason why other skaters are not even trying them, they are so difficult.
I want to see these skaters skate park contest.

GREETINGS FROM ESTONIA 🇪🇪
I love the sport while the skateboard hoppers and flies I love the sport X games water red and wonderful game that Tony hawk came up with
super fun course
Surely Yuto had heavy tricks, but also kinda lacking flow, style and speed... Hoflers and Decenzo's runs I liked a lot better. I think style and flow should have more focus on judging. I mean it's skateboarding and not a math's contest...
Decenzo!!! ❤
Congrats to all the skaters and the podium! Shame to see Hoefler in 2nd place, deserves better!! Not to despise Yuto at all, 1st place well deserved, but Hoefler's first run was low scored and second could have ben better too. Shame last trick was right after the buzzer.
💚 Yuto
