  • I just purchased a Daisy Model 1938. The original Red Rider was first released in 1940. It was released several more times from 1946 to 1972. My gun was reintroduced in 1978. My 44 year old gun is bound to have problems. Let see if we can fix it.

    I purchased my son a Red Ryder , he has had it about 9 or 10 years and he doesn't shoot it any more but he still values it. ⚔️

      Aaron , at my gun club here on Whidbey Island we have a youth program every thing from air rifles to pcp, we have been trying to get kids from local schools to participate! You can imagine how that going in this environment but we keep moving forward, I think it’s a noble idea what thinking! So don’t get discouraged just keep moving forward! I would love to talk with you sometime, hopefully that can happen! Always look forward to seeing your videos

      @@richardness4469 BB guns were my introduction to shooting at age 7. My older brother and I spent hours honing our shooting skills back then and it has carried over to my adulthood. So, I am thinking of having a BB gun giveaway to celebrate when I reach 10,000 subscribers. I would want the guns to go to subscribers who know youth who have never shot a gun in hopes that they can introduce kids to the shooting sports like I was as a child. What do you think.

    Yeah, this is cool. I have a newer one compiled of parts from random ones I've found and been given over the years. Right now it has a tan forearm and a pink stock lol. The metal is great shape and it shoots well also.
    I made a spring tool out of some pvc. Was pretty easy. Just 2 cuts (reliefs) 1 on each side. They are a must for Red Ryder maintenence.

      pour silicone oil in oil hole ,down barrel and stand up , it will go through gun and later you will see it on the stock ! , it will shoot more faster after !

    Very interesting Aaron. I had one of those as a kid in the late 1950's. Mine was a plastic model also. From that I graduated to a Sheridan Silver Streak 5 mm which I still have today. I occasionally get that one out and shoot it still.

    Hey I like to work on daisys, I have got a few tips to get that shooting faster. One things to do is put a model 25 shot tube in it, you can also put in a 7/64" over bored airtube. Also you can put in a cobalt 327 spring in it to make it shoot much harder. I own one of the 1940s guns your talking about. They are called Number 111 model 40s. If you want the early ones, make sure you get one with a cast iron lever.

    Hi can you maby tell me what the stock regulator pressure is for the artemis p15 I bought a p15 in .22 and just wanted to know what pressure to shoot it down to

    • @aaroncantrell8819
      @aaroncantrell8819  Před rokem

      People always asking me "how many shots does that gun get." What they really should ask is what you just did. Anyway, I have three .22 cals, and on all of them the regulator seem to be set at about 100 bar or 1,500 psi. However the best way to determine when the pressure fall under the regulator is to fill the gun to the recommended pressure. Then set up a target at between 40 and 50 yards and then start shooting. When the pellet starts to drop more than a few inches mark that spot on your pressure gauge with a thin piece of tape. Now you can visually see when you are approaching the regulator fall off pressure. I hope this is of help. I hope this is of help. Thanks.
