Chopin's mazurka-style prelude in A major no.7 may be the simplest and shortest of all preludes in opus 28, but it leaves the player completely exposed. In these 16 bars of music, there is nowhere to hide. Any imperfection will be heard. So the challenge is to play every note just right.
