    It was honestly pretty badass to see 3830 pushing its sister 3801 who’s slipping helplessly at first and pulling the train up the grade from 5:02 to 6:02 while giving everything she’s got eventually 3830 helps her sister with traction like it’s saying slow and steady slow and steady if 3801 went up a hill like on its own in this weather it probably would have stalled calling for a deasel to help and to see 3830 doing everything she got against rain it’s like Edward and Gordon all over again only there faceless and it’s a double header and it’s in another country and it’s raining

      as a nod to the fact that she spent much of her sevice life in black (1955 onward) before preservation sponsored return to service (1963) and then actual preservation.Check out the Belbin video of her first "last run" in black.

      @Aussie Pom Yes but the cardew valves only go off if there's water in the cylinders which I think means it probably was priming
