Archival Storage - Conservation Box Making

Watch skilled volunteer David Thompson show a variety of conservation boxes and folders he has made to help protect RHSV objects from dust, humidity, pests and handling damage. You don’t need specialist skills or expensive equipment to make these, just simple tools, conservation-grade board and card, and your care and patience. However, we are lucky to have benefitted from David’s extremely capable and energetic assistance for over 20 years, as he’s brought all his technical skills as a retired aeronautical engineer to the role, not to mention his love of history - thank you David!
