It’s staggering how Different the 2 sides of the park are, and the coasters really put it into perspective. Even the first 2 coasters you listed show this: one is a off the shelf family ride but it’s portable and placed in the parking lot with no theming, the other is also a off the shelf family ride but it’s properly installed, has some light theming with rock work and is surrounded by the medieval themed section! You can tell the 2 were installed with completely different budgets

When I found out about Energylandia, I thought it was a coaster enthusiast's dream; the Magic Mountain of Europe. While it is still a great park, having only six high thrill coasters makes it feel a little bit more in line with your average park. It just has that added benefit of padding your credit count if you normally do that with kiddie rides.

    • @me-myself-i787

Thorpe Park is nowhere near one of the best parks in Europe.
I would say the best parks in Europe (in no particular order) are Disneyland Paris, Alton Towers, PortAdventura, PhantasiaLand, Europa-Park, and EnergyLandia.
EnergyLandia probably has the best coaster collection in Europe and it's very cheap and has short queues, but it's not very immersive, has a very top-heavy line-up, and it lacks much other than rollercoasters; PhantasiaLand is probably the most immersive but lacks the quantity and capacity and their only real people-eater is Black Mamba; Europa-Park is the best park overall - quite immersive, very big, many rides, not many bad rides (the only one I can think of is the alpine bobsled), great operations (the lines were rarely over an hour long); PortAdventura has lots of great rides and theming but poor operations, meaning either long queues or you spend a ton on a fast pass; Disneyland Paris has good theming and good rides, but it's not as good as Europa-Park and it's got longer queues than Europa-Park and it's more expensive than Europa-Park; and Alton Towers is very big and has many rollercoasters, but it's not as immersive as any of the others on the list (excl. EnergyLandia) and it doesn't have much other than rollercoasters.

Americans may wonder at the large number of children's and family roller coasters in the park. But that is quite normal for Europe. In Europe, most parks are much more family oriented than is the case in the US. Some parks even cater only to families with young children. Of course, the larger parks also have a different thrill coaster to round off their portfolio, but in general thrill and records don't play as much of a role as in the USA. Many parks are more concerned with the mood and theming of their attractions than Six Flags or Cedar Fair. A good example of this is Europa Park, considered by many to be the best park in Europe. The park has 13 roller coasters, most of which are clearly designed for families. The park convinces with a great concept and a great design.

Speaking of parks jampacked with roller coasters, I once had a park called "Action Packed" in Theme Park Tycoon 2 on Roblox. It had 17 coasters, most of them poorly done and terrible.
The names of the coasters are all in this list:
    - Ice Crystals, a junior coaster at the very front of the park
    - Maniac, a swirly coaster using the Wild Mouse type of track
    - Monstrosity, a big mine train
    - Patriot, another big mine train
    - Rock N Roller Coaster, an actual Wild Mouse
    - Superhero, a flying coaster
    - Sunny, a junior coaster better than the other one
    - Mine Trainz, a Vekoma style Mine Train, using the actual Mine Train track
    - Wooden Wonder, a wooden coaster
    - Tornado, a looping coaster
    - Corkscrew, a standard steel coaster
    - OH LAWD HE COMIN', another standard steel coaster, this time with a vertical lift
    - As Packed As Possible, a big mine train in a compact spot next to Monstrosity
    - Texas Cyclone, the worst coaster I made, it's mostly just spirals. I used the Wild Mouse track type
    - Batman, an inverted coaster
    - Speed, an SLC
and finally, Super, a spinning coaster, the shortest coaster in height at the park

I'd like to take my daughters here because I think they'd love all the family coasters. It seems like they need to round out their offerings a bit more with some more medium-high intensity, GP friendly coasters if they want to compete with the likes of Cedar Point or Kings Island in terms of the quality of their lineup. I visited Energylandia last year and it's absolutely bonkers. I loved Zadra, Formula and Abyssus, Hyperion was a letdown, the SLC was a positive surprise, the Dragon coaster and the two family boomerangs were nice supporting coasters (and it's interesting how both boomerangs gave different experiences). The Vekomas are all fine but I could have done without all the SBF Visa crap - thanks to Energylandia, I now have more SBF than B&M coasters on my credit list. Mars with its bizarro theming is worth riding but I kept smashing my knee in the undersized vehicles. The SBF spinning wild mouse in particular was completely abysmal, barely worth the credit. The park overall was amazing, exciting and confusing. I kept forgetting where that bloody tunnel was (it's between Formula and the Formula restaurant... makes sense). But all in all it's a must visit, there's no place quite like it.

It would be an interesting idea for a future video to see what the first coaster to close at Energylandia will be. I'm betting on one of it's Vekoma junior coasters or family boomerangs, and the one's I've decided on are Energus and Boomerang, because they're the oldest of their respective model at the park. I'm betting they'll be removed within 10-15 years, as they merely ramp up the cost of maintain the park's coaster while adding nothing but quantity to the park's coaster collection, nothing of quality we can't see on other rides at the park. as for it's first adult coaster to bite the dust, I'm going with Mayan. It's the second newest SLC in the world, but for a supposed coaster destination of the world, you'd expect something a little more unique. I'm betting this will be removed within 17-18 years and replaced with a more ambitious inverted coaster of sorts, from Vekoma I'm betting on a flying coaster that would be somewhat of a hybrid between the Flying Dutchman and Stingray models when it comes to layout, while it's track profiling and vehicles will be derived from FLY at Phantasialand. These are just my takes, and it'd be interesting to hear what you and other people have to say about the matter.

    • @timdruyts5025
      @timdruyts5025 Před rokem +2

The first coaster that they will close will be the SBF Wilde Mouse spinner. That ride is very unpopular in the park and easy to replace with the more popular Zamperla or Reverchon variant of the ride.

    • @diskyboy1990
      @diskyboy1990 Před rokem +1

@@timdruyts5025 I considered bringing up that one, but it has more of a plce in the park's line-up than some of it's Vekomas considering that it's their only wild mouse and major spinning coaster. Plus, replacing it with basically the same ride from a different manufacture seems pointless. I'd think they replace it with a more traditonal spinning coaster by Maurer, Gerstlauer or Mack. I can imagine this ride closing before the SLC but after it's two kiddie coasters. The benefit of just about any coaster closing at Energylandia is the easiness of selling or relocating the rides, due to most of the park's attractions being cheap clones.

I’m gonna say those gals 😉 Taylor & Sarah are the (2) VELOCICOASTER / WILDFIRE / Aussies of CZcamsrs, and Canobie is the (3) EAJANAIKA of CZcamsrs. I wicked miss GAC Great American Coasters. He was far and away the funniest CZcamsr on any subject I’ve ever watched. Anybody heard from him?

Do 2 family boomerangs count as one full scale boomerang? And if so, does that mean Energylandia qualifies for your list of parks with the dynamic duo?

SFC and a Family Boomerang means they have the junior version of the dynamic duo

They are not subsidised by the EU government much anymore.
In total, they have received £14,230,000, or $17,620,000.
The vast majority of their money comes from their owner and their customers.

Parks are mostly for kids... They bring the money in Europe. Some parks are like 9 kid coasters and 2 for teenagers and adults.

The 1st one is 23' HIGH, but it's lowest trough looks to be somewhere between 4 and 8' But it isn't "just a figure 8" That is indeed true. But w 281' of track length it's sad most coasters at Energylandia have less than 1,000' of prime ride track.
15th place spot loses every category except prime ride time, which gives me yet another reason upon many why I never include power "coasters" in my credit count (unless at least part of it uses gravity like the one at Knott's), and also why you should have never included this in this video. As far as I'm concerned: It doesn't even deserve the bragging rights for being 2' high. Worse: It doesn't even deserve the bragging rights as having the shortest height and the shortest drop. It deserves to be in Oswiecim, (The Polish name for a town better know my its German translation) which is very close to Energylandia. (Calm down: I'm Jewish)
Zadra is definitely RMC's best pace coaster according to your definition of the word "paced" but perhaps you're using that term too literally. Most coaster 'thusies use the term pacing to describe the layout and transitions. Hyperion is the closest to a giga coaster that isn't a giga coaster; its drop doesn't qualify for giga status by a mere 31' (or 9.45 M) and reaches a top speed of 88 MPH; only 2 MPH slower than Millennium force and Intimidator 305. They both look epic to me, and Abysses looks fantastic too.
Energylandia is a park I hope to get to some day, but I'm taking my 1st trip to Carowinds next week; I'll be there April 11th through 4pm April 14th. Thanks for posting another "by the Numbers"; one of if not my favourite coaster series ever conceived.

While energy Landia looks like a fun park… They literally only have like four good coasters out of the 20… I mean come on you have like 12 vekoma coasters and white three or four SBF Visa coasters… Yuck
They need some B&Ms and more Intamins
