- Welcome to Day 6 of the 12 Days of RJ's Trains! In today's video the amazing @ChrissTrainsandThings decided to come all the way out to the slimy rock (Long Island) to hang out for the day! First up was a stop at my layout and then onto @TrainWorldTV's TrainLand store in Lynbrook, NY for Lionel Day! Angela Trotta Thomas, as well as Meghan from @LionelModelTrains, was on hand for the occasion. We ended the day at the Nassau Lionel Operating Engineers Club for an awesome running session! Enjoy!

That's a great find, R.J. !!!! What a great art piece that is!! WOW!!! A low number out of the lot.
Congratulations, R.J. !!!!!!
Thanks!! Enjoyed the video!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks RJ
That is a beautiful layout the Nassau / Long Island absolutely amazing detail incredible are you a member
RJ buys a Long Island switcher? NO WAY!! Haha. Engine looks sharp RJ. Enjoy!
Haha, thank you!
Awesome video 😊
Thank you 😁
It is a short and sweet running session.
I already bore everyone through the rest of the video, decided to keep it short.
Hey RJ. Great video! I actually was at Trainworld for Lionel Train Day and to meet Angela Trotta Thomas. I picked up one of her GG-1 prints as it is one of my favorite locomotives. I was also surprised to see myself in this video! I never thought I would be in an RJ’s trains video!!! Enjoy that LIRR diesel!! Never can have enough of them!
Great catch on the LIRR switcher RJ! You know, if you DIDN'T get it you'd have been haunted by the loss for the rest of your life, and THAT can be another 60 to 70 years! A long time to agonize!
Maybe you know this but in case others don't, the layout Bobby Baccala landed on after getting whacked (plus the back-up layout) is now at the New Jersey High Railers club location in Paterson NJ. It's there to be seen (repaired) along with Bobby's home layout when the club has open houses which I can tell you from experience is a sight to see!
A fun video as usual! And thanks for bringing us along!
I knew they had the layout but I still have not made it out there to see it in person!
@@rj.trains Don't worry, they're not going anywhere. With all the stuff they've got they're probably afraid to! 🤣
Great job on the video, looks like you guys had dun at Train world, i would love to gi there some day, cool locomotive as well 😊👍
It is a great store!
RJ Victor from New Jersey videos have been great looking forward to number six I'll let you know how I feel if Chris is on it I'm sure be awesome not saying you're not awesome I just enjoy seeing Chris too in a hetero way
It could be a pest how big is the layout in Nassau also it's about time everybody starts getting their trains they ordered from that second catalog I haven't heard from RBP in a while one more question is Chris going to do a video piggybacking off of yours
Your new loco looks more like an NW2 to me. The section of hood right in front of the cab has that sloping section and it has 2 smoke stacks. I'm not an expert and I understand Lionel has always mixed-up NW with SW switchers, too. What does anyone else think?. BTW that club layout is breathtaking!!!!!
I think it really doesn't matter. RJ's scored a good one. If you're an LIRR fan you jump on those when the opportunity permits because if you don't some OTHER LIRR fan's going to grab it! And it'll never been seen again for years!
It's an SW1500, they had two stacks as well
Thought you were looking for RF&P stuff?!?
I am, check Day 8 when it goes live on the 21st ;)
Thanks, RJ, for posting another video for the '12 Days of Christmas' series. That was a great visit to Trainworld and getting the Blue Comet wall poster and Rail King diesel switcher to add to your collection. I was really impressed with to the Nassau club's fantastic layout. Lots of trains in action and so much trackage! Wow!
Thanks for watching!
Hold up.. the colts?!?
YUP!!!!! Although they have killed me the last few years.
RJ your videos are always very enjoyable. Thank you, and a marry Christmas to yourself and your family.
Glad you like them! Merry Christmas!
You don’t “look” for an engine. The engine looks for you.
Oh, so THAT'S how it works! Explains a lot, especially in my case! 🤩
All too true
RJ goes to Lionel Day at Trainland and buys an MTH locomotive... smh
This is how I roll
