that rim and tyre combo looks great! that car would look sick if he painted it in a gloss black
Yup, I had a '53 Customline for about 15 years ... Bought a totally rebuilt short block with hardened seats and valves so it ran on today's fuel ... Sunvisor, three speed manual... Loved it ...
Patina only works if the body hasn't been messed with. With the bondo work started it just looks like a work in progress.
Agreed.
Instablaster
Had one when in the Service... started to rat it. Had great flathead v8, 3 on tree and overdrive. It was not a land yaht but land tug. It was 20 years old when i got it and had some “patina” rust showing. Great old classic. I think it ended up in Winnipeg.
They weren't about to pay anything close to that price.
I recently picked up a 53 Crestline with the original flathead & only 54K miles! That's the good part but it sat in a shed for over 30 years! I am going to put the engine in a 34 Ford Coupe & the Crestline will get a modern Ford V8 & trans!
Club Coupe. Worth every penny.
I have one that I have built a gasser with a 460 and a 4 speed trans and a narrowed 9 inch with the biggest drag slicks available front axle from a 63 Ford truck and a front tube frame
The car is so beautifull!
He won't have it for long the Coupes are one of the most desirable models, I have moderated the 1952-59 Ford group on the H.A.M.B. for the last 10 years and folks love those Coupes. Hope one of our guys can score it and join up.
I seems him driving around in Vegas the other day
If Danny sees this he's just going to want to keep it so we have to pass. Why pull him over and ask for a number. Cool car
That's a polite way of backing out of the deal without insulting the guy further
Why would anyone ever want a patina owing job who wants a beautiful car like that to look rusty ?
Patina and bondo do not go together.
I have a 55 customline its all pitina it was a barn find
Do they ever actually buy a car they stop??
Sometimes. It all depends on whether or not the owner is interested in selling and whether or not they can agree on the terms.
Nope
Yes
These cars ate their own door latches on a regular basis...front motor mounts too...awful hood hinges and one of the most vapor-locking prone cars ever.(Due to fuel line routing proximity to exhaust pipe.)The Fordomatic transmission was very weak in the pump valve body check plunger area and the accompanying rear axle ratio was so high-it wouldn't get out of its own way.I could get the 6V system to work ok, but just barely. These guys had no idea about this car. Nice that it was a coupe, 6 cyl standard shift...had a lot of fun in this 1962-64
Hate when they act like they bout to buy then bring up an excuse
the price please?
Beautiful car Danny
Im not an expert but my uncle has a patina nova and that car didnt look patina to me, that looked like actual rust . not paint that looks like rust.
That was my first car in the 80’s
I had a 54 customline back in the 00s running small block chevy
Danny do you want Jawa 250 motor cycle 1973 model
Does she have a title
Was that the original engine? I didn't think the overhead came out until 54.
The OHV inline 6 came out in 1952. V8 in 52 and 53 were 239 cubic inch flathead. 1954 was the first year for the 239 cubic inch, OHV V8. I just picked up a 1954 Crestline with the OHV V8, 3 on the tree, and factory over drive. Was a 1 owner car with 26,000 original miles. Been sitting in a barn for 42 years.
So if you find a car in the field, and you do not know the owner, is there any way to get a title?
Hello have you got your answer thanks
You can’t paint a car that good. That’s all time
they parked in a no parking zone
Car is begging for a v8 swap either Windsor, Cleveland, or even flat head, or modular would be sick
Does anyone know what he sent by 12 volt ?
burrvisiontv more reliable 12 volt wiring it will run better & everything
Yeah before alternators we're a thing cars were equipped with 6 volt generators which make dc power. Alternators create ac power which then gets changed to dc power through resistors.
Have an completely original '52 Customline 2 dr. V8 in the barn with much better 'patina' that hasn't been messed with. Put it on C.L. and had 40 calls in 24 hrs. First guy shows and hims and haws for 3 hrs. then just want's the chrome and front end parts for his friends car in Minnesota. Angry I ask why he thinks I would do that, Uh dunno just thought maybe. Never answered another caller. Still own car thankfully.
Seat belts???
I could be wrong but as i understand it seatbelts weren't mandatory or commonly used until sometime in the early 70s.
@@waynemetevia7983 Seatbelt became Compulsory for fisst time in the State of Victoria Australia in the early 70s
😒😒 they should of bought the car themselves then for that cheap?! What do you plan on doing All day, pull people over just to say oh Danny is gonna want to keep it so I'll pass?
clear over filler??????????????????????????????is this possible??
53 Ford what?
My father's car
Lame reason
i never knew Goldberg was into cars
this so fake who randomly pulls people over
Lmao car guys
Open contract and starting restoration money 💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰 2.3 trillion platinum Bitcoin corporation need 6 cars restoration...
Some of the stuff would be great, but this show is fake. Too bad.
A 1953 Ford is ugly... in any guise or "patina" a code word for " I ain't got the money to fix it or restore it - so I drive it as is! "
Ford has always built eye 👁 pleasing vehicles and that's why others copied 🙄 their body style and that's why most of the older hotrods were Ford
