TURKISH DELIGHT CAKE
Serves 30
Cake
350g all-purpose flour
450g caster sugar
100g cocoa powder
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1 tsp salt
350g unsalted butter, softened
4 large eggs, at room temperature
350ml milk
Turkish Delight
1.3kg sugar
560ml water
1/2tsp. citric acid
225g corn starch + 375ml water
1tsp Rose flavour or rose water
1 drop Red or rose pink colouring (optional)
extra corn-starch for dusting and coating
Decorations
6 Pink roses (optional)
1 cup Chopped pistachios
Frosting
3 batches vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream frosting
6 drops pink food gel
2 tsp rose water flavouring
1 batch chocolate Swiss meringue buttercream frosting

1:45 "A tiny little bit of pink food colouring" Tssk, yeah right, more like half the bottle! We know you Nick, we know you like a lot of pink, just say how much you *really* put in it.
By the way, most recipes don't use enough for the colour to shine through, and then there are the "natural colours only" purists, so kudos to you for using enough!
What about powder sugar to coat the delights? Wouldn't it be sweeter? Idk I absolutely love all your cakes though always amazing this one is no exception beautiful😍 💕

Hi! You can if you want but the possibility of the Turkish delight soaking up the sugar is much greater, plus then it will get extra sticky. Also, Turkish delight is pretty sweet so you might not even need the powdered sugar dust
