Too much confusion, if too many people without knowledge talk about things. 175 knots IAS (=indicated airspeed) is the maximum speed, due to structural loads on a Piper Malibu. At high altitudes 175 knots IAS is around 260 -270 knots TAS (=true airspeed). With some nice taliwinds 300 knots + GS (=groundspeed) is possible. Check jetprop.com for further details and discuss in the user board!
@berndl 300 knots very possible. Just look at the displayed ground speed. It is indicating 299-300 knots at 27000 ft. You can sometimes find some nice tailwinds up there! I'm sure you were referring to the plane's no-wind speed capability.
@ednel1 : Oh man, of course I mean no wind airspeeds! Nobody speaks of random tail wind speeds when talking about airplane's performance... Btw, Malibu's Vno: max. structural cruising speed is 173 KIAS...
IS that fuel flow meter accurate? tbm850 burns 60+ gallons at 28000. You were lower and slower but its worth the trade off. What kind of speed do you do up high?
I love so much the old fancy Mirage cockpit with the big ADI and the beauty HSI!!

This is hot stuff :) Very nice. Thank you for sharing.
Very helpful when learning to start the Carenado Malibu PA46T for Microsoft Flight Simulator X (FSX)
no, it is actually a modified Malibu - JetProp does the mods.
Very good video!! Can you post here the power settings (TQ/RPM/FF) for cruise climb and for cruise level? Thank you!!

yep he is
Now I see how a g1000 really simplifies things. Yes your dg sounds bad. Thanks for the vid.
I actually thought it was the starter motor until I saw him going back and forth on the checklist
jet prop is correct....it is the name of the conversion.
I just flew in my friends and he can get 175 kts. he has no radome and were a little light
275 TAS. I mean
300 knots not possible - maximum speed ist 260 knots!
Camera in focus could/would have made a better video
