Hi Jeff -- I wanted to update you that I did surprise my husband with the 52 on Friday. He came home from work to find both pieces in the bed of our pickup covered in bows. He's absolutely thrilled and can't wait to finally get some organization to his tools. I told him your comment on the top section's larger drawer and he agreed with your thinking completely. This thing is a mammoth beast that will last and last. Thank you again so, so much!
i think this one sells for $1400 now but with 120lbs rating on each drawers. it looks very identical. i hope its really worth it for this price. im about to buy it.
do you think they have sale on this combo chest at home depot on labor day sale or black friday. ? i would wait but if it doesnt offer on sale, ill buy them now
I enjoyed your video. I had bought the 56" back last Oct., my wife got it for my birthday. After putting my tools in it, the drawers were just not deep enough. You said it right. If all your tools were the same it would work. I would look at every box before buying one of these.

Thanks for this video as I am looking to upgrade my toolbox. I initially saw the 52 in my local Home Depot and of course they sold out, I saw the 56 when I went online to order the 52 which sent my mind back into research mode. Atleast I got to see them side by side to help me make a better decision.

e36m3 Jeff Kennedy I'm surprised as well. Also very surprised of the lack of customer support because of my living in Canada even though I'm willing to drive down and pay cash. You wouldn't believe how rude some of them have been to me. :(

Thank you for the video, I almost got the 52 but I'm set on the 56 now, it's not much more but you get more drawers that are better designed for mechanic tools. I got a 44 u s general but I've been itching ever since husky came out with this line of boxes
I Agree , I like the deeper drawers , a lot of tools are too big for the thin drawers .

I got the 56 a month ago. I work in a dealership. So far it's been fantastic. Mine doesn't have the magnetic part of the hood.
Jeff I want to say thanks for posting this actually literally helped me tremendously. You ask why? Well originally I ordered the 56" but then cancelled after seeing this video because it didnt have as many deep drawers as you pointed out. Also with military discount its a lot cheaper than the 56". Also the 56 didnt have blacked out wheels look which im in love with. Again thanks and I appreciate you taking the time to post and review this tool box.

I bought the 52" yesterday. It's supposed to be here by the end of the week. I went with the 52" because in addition to the reasons you mentioned was the 52" has more weight capacity on the drawer glides. You showed the stickers. Thanks for the overview!
That 52in has different style keys then what I got.. and left 3 drawers wouldn't unlock... so I returned it.. bought the 56in

I wish I'd took a little more time. My socket drawer only has the one set of glides. You can tell when I open it, it's has all the weight it can take.
I have the 52 inch box and I think it holds up fairly well in a professional environment, although that could be my first box love coming out :D

e36m3 Jeff Kennedy - He won't be rolling it around either. I decided on the 52 because of the different drawers sizes on the top. You're comment about that is what sold me on it. His birthday is next week so I'll pick it up then and surprise him. (I should mention that this is actually a gift for me cause I'm sick of his tools all over the place!) Thank you again!
the tool box is really cool. I like the black on black. where did you get the tags for the shelf label's
The white ones are just p touch lables, the magnet ones came from Meijer's but I have seen them on Ebay. The brand name is Magnetix I think. But a search for magnetic tool box lables will pull them up.

Donald Steininger the blue 24" deep box that I also did a video on is for sure made in canada, look at my chanel if you want to see it. I love the base cabinet but I wish the top had a hutch.

no I kept it. own funeral home and farm so all my work is for myself. it will work for me. I didn't have one to look at other than Internet. our home Depot didn't have it on floor yet. your box is far better for the room than mine. if I could do it over I would not have got it.
I like some stuff on the one you got better but over all I have to agree with you.
Didnt know they were different manufacturers, than you. I bought the 52" and got worried, but after looking at drawers i still think i got the best chest. How did the drawers open on the 56", comparable, lil bit smoother, better, easier, or lil more hard?
About the same as the older style ones, no soft close from what I remember and allot like the $100 cheaper model
Ive been debating getting the 52, however every time I go look at it in store, the soft close drawer slides are broken on at least one drawer, and then they won't even close... have you had this issue at all? Thanks!

The 52, just wish the same OEM manufacturer made the 56, but honestly you can't go wrong with either, nice boxes for the money

isaias valenzuela I love this box, if anything the only complaint is the top drawers are deeper than the bottom or vise versa, can't remember, and that's minor. Could have gone larger also but that's not the box's fault. 👍 Thanks for watching

isaias valenzuela yeah no problem, for the money I don't think you can lose, I paid $699 and the 56 was $999, my other option was the 44" harbor freight and it doesn't even come close. So yes I'm still happy with it. Good luck and enjoy.

Yes the work bench. You got it. I think the work bench will work better for my line of work.
JaRHead600RR I like that idea way better than the pull out work surface, you always end up needing what is in the drawer right under it
Are the bump guards held on by double sided tape? I'm considering this one myself. How do you feel about this box now?
Zombie Dave I think they are double sided taped, and for what I do I love the box, for the money I don't think you can match it.
