Abdullah missed an important detail - the classical philosophers were influenced by revelation, not the other way. Thales is considered the father of Classical Greek philosophy and he was of Phoenician descent. Phoenicia were a civilization that existed in the Levant region around pre classical times.

Canaanites were the original inhabitants who were invaded by the Israelites. These aren't simply theories though, these are very obvious facts. Many Israelites became Christians, and later became Muslims. It's a fact, that Palestinians today go back to the Canaanites primarily, but many Israelites also did end up becoming Muslim and integrating into the community.
