Dyeing My Natural Hair With Adore Semi Permanent Hair Color In Jet Black | Does it cover greys? 🤔

- Hey guys! I saw Deeper Than Hair TV use the clear colour of this semi permanent hair dye a while back on her clients hair to add shine and luster to her hair and so I thought id try out the jet black colour to see if will be effective on my hair (and these greys) instead of using box dye.
From what she said, the clear rinse is supposed to help with shine and luster, so I would assume the jet black hair dye would have the same active ingredients but with added dye… Tbh my hair felt noticeably softer and shiner after straightening this time round… With it being a semi permanent hair dye, it wound cause much harm (if any) because it doesn’t penetrate the hair shaft, it just coast the hair with colour, so just be aware that the colour will wash out after some washes.

@@alexaledesma4909 Not from what i can see, I’ve washed my hair once since then and it still looks pretty black. No black residue as i washed it out neither. My hair is pretty dark originally tho, i recon that will occur if the hair is lighter 🤔

That’s how i felt! I loved seeing just all black 😍 It looked a lot healthier too! The greys are peeping though again now though 😅 Don’t know if i can keep dyeing it without damaging it though lol

I used Adore for many years, and it works well for a semi-perm. I found that it penetrator better on dry hair. The only downside is that it is very watery and messy. I used the darkest brown because the blacks have green undertones.

I've bleached my hair about two years ago, and I feel like its still affecting the integrity of my hair (especially the bottom area of my hair). Cut most of it off though...

I had the same experience when i dyed my ends. I loves the colour but hated what it did to my hair.
I say give it a shot! From what it looks like you have brown hair, so the colours will show up better 👌🏾
I tried Spiced Amber used gloves and washed before and after, my ends were colored beautifully my greys remained throughout .

So, I took some of this to a salon for the lady to use on my natural hair. She told me that semi permanent color will not take on natural hair. 🤔

Those type of hair dye are very good it take my hair very well it last long for my hair type but for my mom don't work I did even color ....
I don’t know why it doesn’t work for some hair types, maybe it’s to do with how porous their hair is. Mine is high porosity

I definitely saw a different when i done it. My hair isn’t jet black naturally, it’s 1B. 4-5 bottles 👀 1 completely covered my hair 😅
How long did it take the dye to fade back to your natural color?❤and did it leave a green/blue tint??
I left my hair straight for about 6 weeks after, but i noticed it faded back to my original colour after about 5 washes. Nah, no blue tint left behind 🩵

I know right… like make the colour fade away before i even get to see the full effect lol. But I followed as it directed because i duno what would have happened if i don’t wash it out! Lol
I didnt apply heat so I left it on longer.

Its a possibility. The professionals always put me under the dryer. I will dust the hooded dryer off and use it when I do a touch up.

Need gloves my luv. A little Vaseline around the edges of your hair. Just suggestions
I wasn’t thinking straight lol, typical of me 😅 I usually use permanent dye and thought the semi wouldn’t stain bad… 😮💨 I would have used Vaseline but my skin would break out, so i used my face cream 😊
Used as directed..total waste of time...it did not cover my grey at all and I used the one specifically for dying grey hair.
grey hair is really hard to take in dye properly you need to use ones that are targetted for grey hair or have PPD in it. a semi perm black dye like this wouldnt do much for you

😅😅 Them greys are resilient 😭 I wouldn’t bother with this again and probably will start dyeing my hair with permanent dye again once the greys take over more 😅
