1:39 Context for those who don't know: The man on the left is the Director of studio Ghibli, Hayao Miyazaki. The man isn't as all sunshine and rainbow as his movies suggest. While the man on the right is junji ito, a famous japanese horror manga artist for his series like Tomie, Uzumaki and Gyo. The man work cause me personally to lose sleep because of manga for the first time in my life. The man is very quirky and shown to be quite cheerful and sweet despite his work being straight cosmic horror.
@@lizxu322 Hayao Miyazaki didn't do some dodgy stuffs, he just very cynical about life and Japan animation landscape. He also isn't proud of his own son work and legit walked out of the first premier while expressing disapointed.
Because his voice is a blank canvas of audio! By him being monotone, you can hear your own feelings. It is the same reason that Hello Kitty is drawn without a mouth. She has no expression so people who look at her project their own emotions onto her face.
2:10 people need to know that people can still be just as good of an artist with stylized art as realism. Just because you aren’t doing realism doesn’t mean you’re bad at art. Van Gogh isn’t overrated at all, he was truly good at what he did, and so was Haixia Lu. They both are are artists, no matter their style.
0:41 Ok that is reallyy wholesome. The artist took soo much time and hardwork to make a homeless person happy. And u can see his hardwork paid off.And ofc the art is AMAZING!
4:45 Actually that was meant to be a cat with a human face. They actually existed in art for centuries when people depicted animals with human features to make them look uncanny in order to show their untamed nature or (especially with cats) to pose them as symbols of evil. Google "animals with human faces in medieval art" or something for many examples. Anyone with those skills is able to make a realistic looking anything through observation alone, but it was never meant to be realistic, it's actually impressive work!
i mean, the junji ito one was accurate. mans the most wholesome guy in the world, he's very kind and understanding while his works are man-made horrors beyond my comprehension
He loved putting red colored liquids specifically on Jews while they laid on the floor with some new holes after making them concentrate a lot inside of camp.🤩🤩🥰🥰🥳🥳
1:38 It's true because the melancholy and lonely people seek to live out the happy and optimistic through their art, and the bright and joyful people seek to live out the dark and creepy through their art. Every human can naturally find balance in their emotions and moods through art.
3:34 the fact that its actually the other way around makes this so much funnier (by the other way around i mean that the woman is kidnapping the guy with her beard)
7:19 I love psychotic drawings more than normal drawings and I don't understand why. I want to have my own psychotic drawing because they always look so cool.
0:07 with his last self portrait I didn’t know he died from lung problems, and the art on the last self portrait looked like the later ones done by William Utermohlen, an artist who had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.
the 'there was a cat" poem was around before that drawing was done. I don't know when it was first written, but I know good and well that it didn't originate on Reddit.
5:39 for those who don't know, i think the original title was "cagna" which, yeah, is also a derogatory term like bitch, but it also means "female dog".
11:22 reminds me of the ancient Chinese emperor who cut his sleeve to avoid waking his sleeping lover (I'm pretty sure cut-sleeve then became a term to refer to gay people as his lover was a man but I'm not entirely sure)
12:36 be like this Me:*looks at the 4 self portrait on my damn screens Also me before I read caption:*I thought those were some remastered portraits of Mozart Me:*cringe* I'm literally Obbsessed with classical music And composers too
3:48 what's funny about this is that I've been to the Picasso museum and have pictures of three of these exact guys in my phone's gallery from that visit lol
16:30 Francisco Goya - Saturn Devouring His Son is the original artwork, I thought once I finished my art studies that I wouldn't see that artwork anymore, yet it comes back to find me.
9:04 I watched a movie once as a kid about aliens that disguised as humans but actually were huge mantises. I am afraid of these insects till this very day.
Looks more like Margarita was talking shit about Van Gogh for his painting not looking as realistic as Haixia Liu’s painting and Giallo Mold calling Margarita out for how stupid they are being for doing so.

@@lizxu322 Hayao Miyazaki didn't do some dodgy stuffs, he just very cynical about life and Japan animation landscape. He also isn't proud of his own son work and legit walked out of the first premier while expressing disapointed.

True dumbass would think realism = best art
preach ‼️‼️‼️ one of my friends does art that’s more tilted to realism while mine is a lot more stylistic and he acts like he’s so superior to me
@@IdkLmao-vp5ss .... Honey, throw the whole friend out! Go for quality, not quantity.
