Ms. Sankey came to my church every year for revival. She would sing and Pastor Jasper Williams would bring the WORD! Needless to say, I was blessed as a child to witness such anointed people of God! Real people, with real struggles, who had a real testimony!!!
I was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church growing up as a kid. I remember Katie Sankey singing that song and it’s as refreshing to me now as it was then!!🙏🏾💜

When I read your comment,and I though a long while to reply..the word "garbage,"is kinda hateful I to enjoy the gospel music of the passed..(60's-80's, I also agree the music of the day ,[not all ] doesn't move my spirit as the lyrics and tunes use to,but some of the musicians and their songs.., I'd believe are Spiritually lead.The young people seems to be spiritually moved.
