Kieran L Hungry in rap terms means that you can hear a sense of urgency and a willingness to prove themselves on a track. Hopsin back when he first started sounded different than now, obviously artists evolve, but after finding success any artist loses that initial edge. Eminem is a perfect example.

Søren Malik Probably dissed their favorite rappers. He has dissed guys like Drake, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross and Tyler The Creator (probably only one out of those he should had not dissed is Tyler, because he is actually a great rapper. Wayne had like one good album and now he's trash, Rick Ross is bad but not complete trash and Drake is a fucking disgrace and an embarrasment to rap and music in general). And rap has a lot of sensitive fans that get their panties in a twist from the littlest of things nowadays so him getting hate is just expected. Plus, he has said that he is against Black Lies Matter which doesn't help him, even if he was right and stating the obvious. Rap has turned into pop, where in if you say anything controversial, everyone's gonna get butthurt as fuck.

Hopsin, to be honest, was the first rapper I really got into. I've always been a rock/metal type of guy and wrote off rap just because of the shit you hear on the radio. Then a friend shows me this guy and I'm hooked, tracks like hip hop sinister, the ill minds, blood energy potion and stuff like that made me an instant fan. Since then I've looked much deeper into rap and really enjoy the genre now. I'll always love Hopsin because he introduced me to the genre , but I understand where people are coming from. Songs like Fly are literally cringe-worthy. That being said I think his flow is absolutely top notch and his lyricism is absolutely killer. It really helps if you just don't take him too seriously and have fun with his music.

Wow there are more comments complaining about Hopsin fans for their opinion then there is actual Hopsin fans sharing there opinion.... Irony's a funny thing.
I'm a Hopsin fan because I like his sound, his flow, and his ability to make emotional songs. Believe it or not, his "deeper" songs weren't always shallow, hypocritical disasters like they are on this album. Raw actually had some great stuff on it, including Heather Nicole and Where Will I Go, which are still some of his best songs to date. With that being said, it's impossible to disagree with anything Anthony said in this review. He gave Hop credit for his technical skill, then told us everything he dislikes about the album and Hop in general. And it's all true. He is a hypocrite. He is bitter, corny, and lacks taste and class. And while I've always loved his more cartoony image and profane, sometimes childish yet satisfying lyrics, there's no way to deny the fatal flaws present on Pound Syndrome. Hopsin thinks he's better than everybody who doesn't live exactly like he does, and while that in itself isn't totally wrong to think, it's definitely not very intelligent to put those feelings into songs. It worked wonders on Ill Mind 5, but songs like Mr. Jones just feel painfully bitter and give off a negative "I'm better than you because I made it big and you didn't" vibe. Not cool.
Overall, I still enjoy Hopsin's music, and I like quite a few songs on this album. But there are so many issues with the way he goes about voicing his opinions and philosophies. I still love his quirkiness, but he's got some growing up to do. But considering he's over 30 years old, I'm not sure if that'll ever happen. Who knows though. Maybe one day he'll finally learn and put out a project that not only highlights his tremendous lyrical ability, but also manages to avoid being preachy, corny, bitter, and having a disgusting sense of a superiority complex lathered all over it.
Anyways, this is a great review. It's very critical but for good reason. I used to be a hardcore Hop fan who loved everything he did but I'm finally starting to pick up on some of his bullshit. He's got a ton of appeal, but he needs to change. Fast.

Ill Mind of Hopsin 7 is fantastic. However, the rest of this album is akin to shitting nails and alcohol.

FLY might be the funniest song I've ever listened to. It literally couldn't stop myself from laughing as he delievered lyrical gems over and over, such as "the best kind of marketing is marketing that don't feel like marketing." Golden.
i'm not into music enough to watch your videos in entirety, but i can see you know your stuff and really consider things, I like that. But I stay and enjoy mostly, the absurdist bits, clicks, and blips that litter your videos, seemingly more so lately :) I love them

Kappa Young thug is crazy good at blending his flow into his melodies. He can bring so many different flows, which is more than can be said for Hopsin. Young Thug works his fucking ass off releasing banging tracks that constantly contain crazy weird and clever similes and metaphors. Young Thug is better than Hopsin which is why Hopsin is getting pissed l0l.

Like flow for instance which is pretty much nonexistent in most of Hopsin's tracks
and getting a great producer like Mike Will to make your beats, instead of doing it yourself, and making almost every instrumental on your album sound like it was made by a kid with cerebral palsy
