    Great choice going with Steer Smarts. I’ve had their tie rod and drag link on my Gladiator for over a year now. Zero issues and zero complaints!

    I was looking at that very same setup at the Smokey Mountain Jeep Invasion. Thanks you helping me make the decision to make the change.

    Quick question did you ever upgrade the steering box from the aluminum on to the steel? if you didn't there is a service notice out to swap it out for the steel as the 20-21 had massive play issues due to it being made out of aluminum. I have a 22 Rubicon and they swapped it back after 21 so check with dan cummings on it could have also contributed to your issues. Happy Jeeping!

      The Mojave's came with steel in 21. But thanks for the info. It may help someone.

    Having all the same issues with my APEX tie rod system on my F350, regretting my decision on that product.

    Thanks for the feedback. I didn’t even know Apex offered a tie rod.
    It’s surprising the tie rod doesn’t sound like the same experience I’ve had with the AutoLynx like you have installed. I installed my AutoLynx Jan of ‘21 right when they came out. I’m still going strong with them. It’s a great convenience and they’re holding up.
    I only have the Yeti track bar sitting here so far. I’m not really high enough to need the adjustability as my axles are centered still with a full weight height that’s back down to stock Rubicon height…but I will appreciate the quality reputation assurance when it’s time to replace steering components etc. I’ll stick with Steer Smarts in that regard.
    Great video and the Wyoming series…I’m jealous. lol

      Apex Chassis is different from the makers of the AutoLynx. The makers of the AutoLynx is Apex Designs. Thanks for watching, Wyoming was definitely amazing.

      Still liking your AutoLynx?

    You know I have from the very beginning. The tie rod ends coating and the bolts also rusted so fast. The polished aluminum looked great for the first couple months and is now impossible to repolish. They did replace a tie rod end for me and a track bar end. And was very nice to deal with but in the end, I put my money into something that was supposed to last and it hasn’t. Mines in the same shape right now less than a year old. I installed mine this past January if I remember correctly. So I’ve also been looking at other options. I’ve had Steer Smarts sector shaft brace for about 6 months now and it made a huge difference as I was seeing deflection in the frame and steering box. It has been holding up very well.

    have 37s and mopar 2 inch lift......very impressed with the steersmarts trackbar that i recentered my axle with.....it is a great addition to the steering. Have noticed on city streets a sound coming from the play in the stock jeep draglink at the knuckle-with some research it seems this is "normal" and present on new jeeps on the lot-i feel like this up and down/clunk is not satisfactory and I'm going to look into the steersmarts draglink as a possible remedy. Appreciate the video!

    Hello - Love your content. I only did. Mopar 2 inch lift and added 37 inch tires. I feel I should do preventative installation on the "kit" in this video. Have you continued to have good fortune with it. OR am I better to wait until I actually have a issue? Thanks I'm advance if you can answer this.

    • @CoddiwompleOverland
      @CoddiwompleOverland  Před 5 měsíci

      We have had great service from it. I think changing it now or later will depend on what you plan on doing with your rig.

    Can you make a video if you can move up and down steer smart tie rod and draglink with your hand to see if any movement?

    • @CoddiwompleOverland
      @CoddiwompleOverland  Před 6 měsíci

      Stear Smart has very little movement as it needs to have some. Nothing like Apex movement. The Apex flopped so much you could hear it. I'm not sure what you're looking for. You can send an email to contact@coddiwomple-overland.com
      If you want a video of how much it moves.

  • @jayhernandez6812
    @jayhernandez6812 Před 6 měsíci +1

    After installing this steersmart tie rod and draglink, still moving when you move it up and down?
    Also, do you have the link when you install the apex tie rod and draglink?

    • @CoddiwompleOverland
      @CoddiwompleOverland  Před 6 měsíci

      There is always a small amount of movement, there has to be. BUT it is not near what the Apex was or as loose. I’m not sure what link you are referring to to

      @jayhernandez6812 Před 6 měsíci

    Hello hello. You know i told you i was gonna come talk to you in person about your Overlanding experience and personal preference on lift/suspension and steering components. I have the 21 JLUR ifbypu recall i plan to turn into an overlanding rig pulling an offroad trailer . Have that narrowed down to a few i desire to check out in person as soon as i get the opportunity. I am quite chronically ill and had to cancel my trip 2 days into my reservation for GSMJI. I'll be GREAT soon though! Waiting on a kidney transplant so now that issues have worsened my plans are all for post transplant release from recovery. This would explain my no show to chitchat with you in person. I found your video of the lift and shocks you put on the JT. Looked great. How are youliking that lift and shock setup? I'm with ya on SteerSmarts all the way for the steering components. I am pretty sure about my choice for lift. I think I have decided on the Clayton Overland + 3" with the Falcon 3.3 shocks. I have more time decide under the circumstances. Ready to roll now but will have to wait! That's alright! I am in great spirits. How are you liking the Falcon 3.3 shocks? Keep me entertained and excited to travel until i can. I will be tuning in! ✌️😁

      @CoddiwompleOverland ty. I also asked about steering Stabilizer. Did you go with the SteerSmarts or the Falcon adjustable? Missed that part on your steering components install. Great to hear you are immediately seeing the difference in the steering after that swap out. Safe travels!!
