Bathroom exhaust fan maintenance, how to put a filter in

  • Your fan grate may come with some kind of filter material attached to it. If that material is filthy, just buy a new plastic cover, without filter material in it, for a few dollars at a hardware store. Then you can use this method to put a homemade disposable filter in it. This keeps your fan from getting all dusty and moldy, which is incredibly difficult and gross to clean.

    Great vid! My leasing company they are literally slum lords & even tho I have rented for many years in different townhomes/apts, I am just running into this problem now. I don't think my filter has been changed in much over 2 years because it's so inflated it looks like insulation. Before I noticed this, I began to noticed mold in my shower drains & under inside of toilet rim (first time it ever occurred in a bathroom of mine! ). I know understand why smh. The owner & leasing company don't want to help me replace nothing, I have to do it all by myself so thanks for the easy how to! ❣
