Enable Bambi mode it allows your driving or fog lights to be on when your high beams are on. That’s a great forescan change to make. Also increase the number of soft blinks for the turn signals when the trailer is connected. KYD has a great video on that. Mine now blinks seven times instead of three when I tap the turn signal
My Duramax does that automatically when you engage tow mode.
These new fog lights suck and really isn't worth it.. The new headlights are PLENTY..
Great video. I love how you go through everything in detail and educate the viewer as to why you do things the way you do.
My 2019 Limited has all those features. They are great. I really like how they upgraded the Transmission and the cameras.
Congrats Chad and Tara on the new truck. We purchased an F350 Platinum for our tow vehicle and have never looked back. We’ve also encouraged two fiends to get SuperDuty trucks as well. A couple of things. (which I’ll email you from your website to follow up if you’re interested). First i use my upfitter switches to control my Victron DC-DC charger and a couple of separate USB ports that I installed in the top cubby on the dashboard. I also installed a BuiltRight Industries and 67 Designs dash mount system to hold our Furrion backup camera display, cell phone, garmin gps/TPMS monitor display. By putting a couple of multi-port USB ports on the top dash there are NO cables or charging cords dangling down in front of the dashboard. The only other thing I would have suggested was not getting the factory installed bedliner, they are not that great as they are put on AFTER the bed has been painted, so the bonding is not that good and it’s pretty easy to peel off. I suggest that you look at Bullet Bedliner and read some of it’s history with the popular Line-x brand. Take a look at their videos. I also followed your lead and put in a shotgun latch toolbox in the bed along with a tonneau cover. only difference is I went with a Reese GooseBox so that I could easily have my truck bed back without having to remove a big heavy hitch. more to come
Very smart n wise choice also try much troublesome with Ram
When I saw the 450 I immediately though "oh no, now they'll have a lower cargo capacity" - I was glad to hear how you addressed that. And that truck looks awesome!
Congratulations 👏 so happy for ya'll, it's a beautiful truck. I look forward to the videos and how the truck is doing.
I can tell you the Liquid Spring stuff is a game changer. We are running them on big F550 expedition trucks which ride like a dump truck but the handling afterwards feels like an F150. The fact that the suspension can change hundreds or thousands of times per second depending on road conditions, throttle input, etc is remarkable. The adjustable height for our off road applications is great, but also the ability to lower the truck significantly does help ingress & egress. We also love Carli too. The have progressive leaf springs that are epic... But you will want to supplement with airbags as you loose approx 25% of payload without the airbags supplementing. Took my father-in-laws 2019 3500 limited DRW to Carli after they complained of the ride when towing their 40' 5th wheel and they have been so thrilled since! Suspension is worth everything....
Love the new truck! We purchased a 22’ Chevy 2500HD for our full-time travels a few months ago and we absolutely LOVE it! We had heartbreak though recently when we had GOLFBALL size hail and it hit the truck pretty hard! Oh well, that’s RV life! We love watching and you’re an inspiration!
Congrats on the new ride. I ordered my 450 Platinum 2-days after you (11/5) and removed the adaptive steering because it was a constraint item. Your turnaround time was amazing. Mine is still not built (scheduled to be built next week). Can’t wait 😀
I really hope you guys know how helpful you are. I know that producing content is not always easy. But, keep producing because your videos benefit and motivate hundreds of thousands people.
This video is probably one I’ve most been looking forward to!
The weights section was done very well. It took me a long time to decifer the NUMBERS for myself many yrs ago. An6inewho sees this one video will get a very good understanding of wha5 5hey need to be an educated consumer & RV driver..!!! KUDOS, go out to you guys
Congratulations we’re now in the process of shopping fora New truck As well, enjoy your truck it’s beautiful 😍
Well.....that's one amazing truck! Approved
Thanks, JD! 😊
He finally met a truck he won’t warn viewers isn’t sufficient for towing…
First time f150 truck owner for 4 months and 6300 miles. Have many of the features you have like adaptive cruise, speed sign recognition . Learning how to use these features to your advantage takes time. I've towed 6k and that weight and drag is well suited to the truck. Looking forward to the next drive, 940 miles in a day x2 as it's so comfortable and stress free versus normal cars.
Just stumbled onto this channel and said, “wow this truck looks familiar!”
@@jordancook1668He's so full of himself. Such a scammer with NO CREDIBILITY WHATSOEVER. Send him freebies for a good review.
Nothing like getting a new truck. Great looking too. Hope you get many years of service out of it. ❤
As usual, another great video. Always balanced and thoughtful!
Very nice looking forward to seeing your videos on towing
Very nice truck. I have a 2018 F-150 and it’s just an XLT but it has the panoramic sunroof and I’m so glad I got one w that. I absolutely love the light that comes in and cruising around on a warm sunny day w it open is so nice. I did have an issue w the sunroof already but fortunately it was covered under warranty. Despite the potential issues w sunroof I’d never get a truck without the pano sunroof.
I really like your content. It is so sharp and detail. Thank you for another great video! Great car - I hope it will serve you many many years.
In spring of 2021we bought a 2019 f450 King ranch package, all I can say is WOW what a truck, power torque comfort, looks,TURNING RADIUS, diesel exhaust brake,on and on.we tow a 12k,38foot,grand design travel trailer, no more white knuckle, both myself and my wife are over the top happy with the truck, keep up the great videos
I had the ceramic coat done on my red crew cab 2019 F250. I wash it, and use a little ceramic instant detailer and it still looks like new. No issues at all.
Wow, that is just a beautiful truck! Congrats. I drive a Chevy 3500 myself for our 5th wheel but would definitely look into one of these F-450s if I were to move up to a dually config. Love your channel and thorough videos!!
Well, Chrome fever WON once again!🤓👍...Nothing like a new truck to put a smile on your face!🤗😉😁
I got my F450 back in February and love it. The turning radius is what sold me on the truck.
What a fantastic upgrade for you guys. Really interesting to hear your comparisons of these two truck models and the improvements you’ve made. Here’s to many safe, trouble free miles as your adventures continue. All the best!
Adaptive Cruise Control is a game-changer! Also, love to hear your feedback on the Pro Trailer Backup Assist. As a "newbie" to towing a fifth-wheel trailer, I found it very helpful.
Beautiful truck! You're going to love the panoramic roof. Brings in more light which we all can use!
Beautiful truck ❤️! I love the color and all the amenities! Enjoy it and be safe! 🙏🙌🙌
Go mine November 11th 2021 it took 5 months to get same color same trim . The chip shortage I didn’t get the adaptive steering. After driving a semi for 41 plus years doesn’t bother me. It tow’s our Riverstone 42fskg like a dream. Congratulations on your new truck. The backing feature doesn’t work on our long rigs.
I work for an EMS agency. We run F450 extended cab chassis with a fairly large ambulance box. We have the liquid spring suspension system and honestly the ride is very smooth. I know the added weight of the box and equipment would make it smoother than on your trunk with a truck bed but they are nice because you can adjust different ride settings (comfort, normal, and sport). We keep ours on normal because the comfort setting allows too much body roll with the box being so too heavy.
I agree. Liquid Spring is a game changer. There is a reason that 95% or so of all F450/F550 emergency rigs now go with it instead of air. But it does cost a bit and I believe you are best to find a shop that has installed many of them on F450 emergency rigs so they have plenty of experience.
LOVE IT!!! We have a Platinum, thinking of getting a Limited with the next truck. Huge fan of the the ADAS/DAT features, especially the ACC! Great hearing about the turn radius with the 450 vs the 350. Thank you for taking the time to put this all together.
I’m not too sure but I think my 450 will turn in just about as tight of turning radius as my 150
Great Video as always ! Glad you got your F 450.
Love the color too
I also have a 2022 F-450. I highly recommend getting the Amp Bed Step under the left corner of the rear bumper. It works way better and easier than the built-in step in the tailgate.
Man, great idea. I have a DRW F350 on order and have been thinking of ways to make it easier to get in and out of it. That fits the bill for sure.
I put mine on my order, not knowing how I would ever use it. I was working on my 5th wheel and using the tonneau cover as a platform, There was no way to use the tailgate step, but this fit the need perfectly
For the ride quality, I suggest some adjustable shock absorbers. There are some companies like King that can build them to match the stock shocks without having to lift the truck. With the turn of a dial you can adjust the dampening to compensate for the heavier loads. They ride like a cloud. Safe Travels.
Congratulations, Guys. I'm sure y'all will enjoy this beast for years to come. She am a dandy.
I put Pheonix USA aml3 valve stem extenders on my 2024 F450. I took your advice and notched out the center caps. It worked great. Thanks for the idea. Jeff
Congratulations on the F450! We traded our 350 for a 2020 F450 King Ranch, mostly for the turning radius, but also for the 10 speed transmission. I was a bit concerned that the mileage would drop off when pulling our RiverStone Legacy since the 450 has the 4.30 rear end ratio, but with the 10 speed I am actually getting better mileage. Having higher horsepower might also benefit since the engine isn’t working as hard at the same speed.
We were also wondering what the difference in ride was going to be like, but you really can’t feel any difference when towing. When we aren’t towing, it still isn’t very noticeable difference between the previous 350 and 450. Like you, we love the massaging seats!!!!
Yea.. that mileage was a nice surprise!
I currently drive F350 6.7 DRW and am ok with the ride quality exception of hitting the small bumps and feeling the bouncing jolt on the freeway when driving empty. That is only on 1% of the situations on my daily driving. Other than that, I can manage if I adjust the speed just little when road gets bumpy and rough. I have F450 Limited on order since last Oct and am interested on any small tips to keep it as is or some simple upgrade like changing out shocks.
Nice truck congrats
Yessiree...a friend of ours has an F450 4x4 Powerstroke and the first thing said about it was "boy, it sure turns well". We'll be looking forward to all of the operational differences and improvements if any while in tow. Congratulations
Great purchase folks! Very nice truck, best of luck with it! Safe Travels!
Nice truck and thanks for sharing the info on the features! I tow our 14k fifth wheel with cruise control and leave it in drive, flat or mountains. So many people say don't tow with cruise or leave it in 6th. I figure if that were the case the Ram/Cummins engineers would have it in the manual not to do that.
I hauled cars all over Colorado in the mountains with a 2016 Ram on a 40ft wedge trailer loaded with 3 cars. Never an issue with any of that. Dunno about with the adaptive cruise control though. Glad I did that for a couple of years - got really comfortable driving with a big trailer.
Or they would be smart enough to disable in tow/haul.
Absolutely beautiful truck, in my favorite color! So worth the wait. Congratulations! 🎊🎈🎉
yessss I have been waiting for you guys to upgrade to the f450, i love all your videos you three
Congratulations on your new truck ! Absolutely beautiful I love the color and the duel rear wheels makes it look so great !
We full timed for a year with big fifth- pulled by 17 450 on kelderman setup - all four corner airbags - adjustable pressure and height so you could run stock height- amazing how smooth unhitched with much experience in trucks
Hey Kevin -- As the new owners, we're loving your truck. ;-)
With Kelderman setup - all four airbags - did you keep the stock wheels and tires from factory on your truck after the upgrade?
Looking forward to seeing your new ride. -Jersey Mike, ‘17 F-450 Platinum, 60,000 miles, ‘20 351M Momentum
Hubby wants one… how much do I need to save??? How much are these?
@@arbonneladyTN : Brand new ones are over $100,000! Yikes!
I have a 21 platinum 450 and love it! Congrats guys!!
we did the ceramic coating as well and love it. love your channel congrats on the new ride
Love it! We got our 22 F450 in feburary. Check your differentials and transfer case levels! Everyone that I know of including myself the rear has been low from the factory.
Thanks for the tip! I'll check that out. 👍🏼
Seems to be a common problem. Same issue with the 2022 ram I just purchased. Brother in law same issue with his Chevy truck.
Congrats on the new ride, she's a beauty!
The rear diff may appear to be low, but almost everyone thinks it should be filled to the bottom of the hole. Spec is 6mm below the hole when checked cold.
And you'll get a dozen different recommendations for gear oil, so here is number 13. AMSOIL Severe Gear 75w140, (arguably one of the best gear oils in existence). I don't know about the 450 axle, but my F350 is an e-locker, no limited slip additive needed. Check your specs, or look for the telltale wiring harness that goes to the rear axle......
@@beanoil yeah there's a lot of debate. With it all compiled it seems as long as you can touch the fluid bending a pinky finger in the hole, your about at the level. My rear diff I couldn't touch whatsoever
Front was a couple mm under the hole but I could touch it
I used forscan on my F-350 to add “bambi mode” which allowed the fog lights to stay on when you turn on your high beams.
What kind of computer is needed to use these devices, and do you have to have software. I have MacBook so wasn’t sure if that an option?
@@missionswithluna I’m sorry I don’t know the answer to this question. I used my windows surface. There is tons of forums that basically walk you through everything!
@@missionswithluna Look into using "parallels" which will allow you to install Windows. It's like having a computer inside of a computer. The technical term is virtualization but "parallels" will get you there.
Fantastic new ride !
I love Tara's new truck! I have a 22 F350 Platinum with the same interior. The video looked like you were in my driver's seat telling me what I like about my truck! You'll love the adaptive cruise control once you get used to it. You have to learn to trust it and fight the urge to tap the brakes. It reacts quicker than you can when it needs to. It doesn't get angry and tailgate no matter how many people cut in front of you. It's my favorite feature on the truck. Thank Tara for the heads-up on the butt massage setting. I had tried all the other settings, but not that one. It's great after a long drive. Love your channel! Keep up the good work.
Best truck ever Chad n TAra n congrats 🍾🎈🎊 very happy n how’s she on fuel ⛽️
Surprisingly about the same as the 350 with the 3.55 rear end. About 8.5 towing.
I like what you did with the upfitter switches to minimize the wire nests for your accessories. Will you be doing a video that shows how you did it in more detail?
Yes I concur. A detailed video would be awesome.
@@brianp6420 I would like that too also your setup of your builtright dash mount all the pcs etc
Have a new '22 F-350 Lariat... would really appreciate a step by step instructional video... complete install for an accessory on dash, or rearview mirror. Looking to potentially install a airhorn, dashcam, radar detector type devices, etc.
I was wanting to do something like this too, but since we're just summertime weekend warriors, I also wanted a 'quick connect' plug for my rear observation camera. I don't want to do a full 12v cig-style port on the dash, was thinking something smaller, like the 8mm connection. Just want a clean install. Gonna have to see how that top of the center stack comes out (sure there's existing CZcams on that).
I’d like to do the same thing and would also like to see a video. Great content as usual
Congratulations on the new good-looking truck. I ceramic coated our 2017 black Jeep Cherokee in 2017 and it still looks great and is very easy to clean. Also, a great opening to the video.
For our single rear wheel 2020 F350 - I swapped out the factory FX-4 shocks for some Bilstein 5100 shocks (stock suspension and height). Made a big difference on rough roads. Also lowering tire pressure when not towing makes a huge difference in ride smoothness.
This was a great video! Normally I don’t finish longer videos in one sitting but this video has some great info, very easy to watch, and I walked away learning a few things 🤝
Thanks for watching! 😊
@@ChangingLanes chad, I just purchased a Vantrue N2S and had a few questions. I was wondering if I could ask you a few questions
I’m impressed with your order turnaround time. I ordered a 2022 Lariat on October 8th and haven’t seen any movement on build date. How you got a Platinum done so fast is impressive.
I ordered an F350 DRW on July 3 2021. I did not see any movement until February 2022. My build date is not listed as May 9 2022. No ETA/delivery date as of today. Crazy.
Such a great video I'm re watching. Just ordered a bullet point mount for my screens. 2020 F450 and love it 😀
Thanks! You guys rock and so glad I follow you. So happy for your new F450! Me and the wife just picked up a 2022 GulfStream TT and looking forward to hitting the road, partly because of great folks like you! Safe Travels!
Congrats on the new RV! 👍🏼

I agree with you and I believe that the secret to financial stability is having the right investment ideas to enable you earn more money, I don't know who agrees with me but either way I recommend either real estate or crypto and stocks.
You’re totally right my friend I just got a huge transformation from my investment of $4000 to $12,400 in just 2 weeks, I'm really excited here 😊
I Know Mrs. Amanda I invest with her too, i make about a 7,000USD every month.
Mrs Amanda services are indeed top notch, if it were up to me i will keep her to myself and not recommend her to just anybody.
Please how can i contact Mrs. Amanda Hernandez? I want to invest with her too.
I'm soo happy that you guys upgraded to a F450! I went F550 myself. And you guys stayed in the Ford family to boot! If you bought a dodgy or chevis I would have unsubscribed. Excellent choice!
I put the order in today for 2023 F450 Limited 6.7 HO. 107k. I got the order code of 6423 and priority code 19.
I can't wait to see it. I originally ordered F350 Limited in Feb this year but switched it to F450 Limited during May of this year. I was told that previous order put in will put my order on priority process. Thank you for the great video. I hope to get it sometime this year.
I ordered a F450 DRW too!! So happy you upgraded.
Great video and very informative! Safe travels.
Good stuff. Happier travels!
Thanks for the truck update. We have had our ‘22 F350 Platinum for a few months now and love the many features you mentioned. Please keep us updated on any mods so I can steal them! 😂😂😂
Oh my goodness that's one FANTASTIC Truck!! Holy moly!
Great video !! Congrats on your F-450. We hope to get one in the next 2 years !! Looking forward to see what additional items you come up with !!
Thanx for showing the payload sticker! Among other things, great video!
Looks great! Happy for you!
Nice Truck Chad & Tara, Love all the add ons as well.
Excellent video as always.
Sweet ride....... Happy Trails
Congrats on the new truck! Great looking truck, great video!
I purchased a 2020 F450 Platinum and absolutely loved it. We just purchased a new 2022 Genesis Supreme 37 CRXL Toy Hauler. The truck and trailer are amazing together and I have zero anxiety now when pulling. What I had installed suspension wise was Carli Suspension Pintop 2.5 leveling system with King Shocks. Kept the stock rear leaf springs to maintain towing capacity. I did add airlift 5k bags to help with the Squat. Overall I am super happy with the truck and we are going to do our first long pull to Yellowstone in a couple of months. I never had the confidence to do that with my old f250. Congratulations, can't wait to the videos you will make with the new truck!
Great Choice and well thought out, JD must be Loving the Colour. 😊👍👍👍
JD has a time machine and copied US! 😛 J/K.
So happy for you guys! We just picked up our TT last month and ready to hit the road!
Congrats on the new RV!
I try not to be envious! Congrats on the upgrade
Congratulations on an awesome new tow vehicle / daily driver. Great video!
NICE! What a great review! I still love my old 2000 7.3, but man oh man.
Great video Chad. We love our F450 as well.
Pretty! The F450 is the bomb, the turning radius is so much better than the F350, it’s literally the only thing I dislike about our 350.
What a great and thorough walk through.
Looks good! Glad you got it.
Nice Truck. We have a 2021 F450 Platinum. Love it. We just put airbags, replaced the tank to a 68 gal, and added an air compressor, air tank, and a train horn. :)
Chapter markers- great idea, I wish everyone did that. Rock on. 🇺🇸⚓️🇺🇸
Thanks for the review! Nice truck!
Congratulations on the new truck!
Get yourselves a banks ram-air differential cover and cold air intake. Better towing mileage, cooler diff and better EGT’s/MPG’s (intake) - you won’t be disappointed - installed them both myself. Good idea on the rapid-heater and engine block heater... Have those on my 2014, great features. They come in handy a lot up here in Maine haha. The AMP bed steps already mentioned are also great ideas. A little pricier, but I find I get better mileage and wear protection using amsoil in both the 6.7 and the diff. I know you’ve been down the DEF road before (I don’t have a DPF, heh) - make sure you use a good additive like Stanadyne since you’ll likely be keeping that on.
Congrats on the new rig! It's a beauty!
Congrats on the new truck, I finally got a chance to drive my friends F450 and BOY it was nice. So I can totally understand the excitement of the 450. My only thing is I loved the grey colored truck, never been a fan of red unless it was a Fire Engine I was driving, Be safe and many happy miles in the new ride
Love the new ride ! Good luck Safe travels !
Great info ..Thank you especially the dash set up for GPS and phones...
Absolutely LOVE your new truck! Beautiful!!
Awesome! I have been trying to decide between F350 and F450. This was very helpful.
Just ordered the ForScan and BuiltRight from my Ford F350. Thank you for posting the links.
Awesome! I picked up my 2022 F450 back in Aug of 21 same color! I also repurposed by dash mount from my 2020 F250. Not a fan of how it tracks going down the road but I have learned to live with it because I am not dumping the factory tires and wheels anytime soon.
Fantastic video and explanation!
Nice upgrade. Great video.
Congratulations on getting your new rig! Hope everything works out fine for you guys.. Good thing you have the electronic knowledge to make the changes you want. The Navy taught you well. My Navy service was 64-67(radioman).
Thank you for your service! 🇺🇸
