It was chill. The camera movements had me a type of way cuz i smoked up right before watching the movie.
Yeah the camera movement and angles I wasn't happy about but I'm the moive was okay
For me it felt like a feature length pilot episode for an upcoming TV series. Was expecting to have it state it will be on every Wednesday at 8pm on NBC by the end.

I’ll state it even better, it feels more like a prequel to an already existing movie but sadly said movie doesn’t exist
So did it feel a little like Agents of Shield then, I actually likened it to a lot of 70s and early 80s TV series.
I avoided as may trailers as possible because I didn't want to know the whole story, it was it nice to see some of the portrayal of the Marvel characters some not so good but as introduction to characters on the big screen it does line up a number of different story lines if they ever get funding.
Yesss. Some scenes were trippy in a good way too...but some scenes were corny. Does not deserve so much hate though. It wasn't great...but it wasn't nothing 🤷
@@richardosullivan8102 I never watched Agents of Shield so I am unable to make the comparison. With it out to rent I would say it's worth the watch. It's not bad, just isn't something that one expects from a theater release movie.

Why are you blaming her? You know how many actors/actress don’t read the book that a movie is based on.. they are there to do a job. As long as their acting is on point, that’s it.. it’s weird you think they need to be fans of the movie.. are you a fan of the company you work for? Are you a fan of the grocery store you shop at? Are you a fan of the car company you drive? Most likely not.. you do what you have to do to the best of your ability.. I’ve seen movies with the best actors in it and it couldn’t be saved..

It flop because they can't follow the comics. They think they can fix the actual story by changing characters and the story line in which it progress. That leads to the flops that they create.
They can’t help themselves. Directors love to change things around to be creative.
I found an interesting article claiming people are getting superhero fatigue, but I'm seeing a lot of directors and actors/actresses who have little or no personal investment in their productions:
The third Charlie's Angels movie, directed by a man hater,
The new Snow White, staring Zegler, who actually hates the original movie,
Rings Of Power, directed and staring people who outwardly called fans of Tolkien 'racist',
Season 8 of Game Of Thrones, directed only with intent to 'end it'.
I see a pattern, there are people working their way into entertainment who hate certain genres and they're sabotaging them to fail. I can only assume why, but the real question is how do we stop them before they destroy sci-fi, fantasy and every form of hero we love?
I completely agree, I have a feeling that might be happening because Directors and Producers are naturally creative and a lot of the time they will try to come up with their own ideas out of something that’s already created because they think they can make it better.

The main problem is the absence of any demand for another “Spider-Man related” movie that actually doesn’t have any Spider-Man in it.

I just watched it now to see if it was a flop. And honestly, it's quite good. I didn't like the ending much but other than that I enjoyed it. At least it wasn't predictable.😊

I honestly think everything to do with the main character experiencing her powers for the first time, doubting them, questioning them, and learning to trust and use them is good. I was actually really engaged with it. and I think that the character also comes off as very real and believable throughout that series of events. Her relationship with Ben is very endearing as well. so like, somewhere between 1/3 and 1/2 of the movie is actually really good and enjoyable imo.

The villain has weak execution. I think everyone can agree with that. the ending was vomit inducing. It was like everyone involved with the production just gave up at the end.

but I honestly felt the good outweighed the bad throughout most of the movie, and the end was so bad so fast that I didn't feel like the movie was ruined so much as unfinished.
Yeah that’s kinda how I felt. Since the reviews were so bad, I was constantly trying to find what made it so bad, but despite its pretty bad qualities, I felt the reviews were a little exaggerated.

personally, i felt like Dakota's character was flat, and felt annoyed by what she was dealing with. she felt flat, her acting was how she talks, no emotion whatsoever. even at the end, when she was blind, just three more annoyances she has to deal with.

Dakota Johnson comes off as an idiot why anyone would have her promoting their film let alone cast as a main character super hero is a mystery. There's not a single interview where she doesn't come off as " not all there". She thinks she's Aubrey Plaza but Plaza is actually a great comedian and knows to stick to her strengths.

The three teenagers were so dumb, after experiencing their 1st near death experience and after seeing a man crawling who killed like 10 ppl. They didnt panic at all and could still dance at the diner. So unrealistic.
Yeah their acting kinda sucked as well. Sydney Sweeney just can’t play a teenager that well. Adam Scott and Dakota were good actors but they could do nothing about a terrible script with little stakes.

The movie should have been called Spiderwoman, and not Madam Web. Way more material to write and film, Madam Web didn’t have much more to offer, that’s why her origin story was so stupid because they were just making it up with not much source material

It lacks pure action, adventure, and sci-fi story. It is more of a drama mixed with thriller because of someone trying to kill them. And they always makes some boring parts that keeps on talking about their family members. It seems like they have a competition of who has the more family member got killed. I think the problem is more on the story it self. The acting was good. The graphics was good. But the story really needs some improvements.
I mean…why bother. Dakota and others seem so not present. They seem like TikTokker far more interested in their phones to to carry out a movie?

I think the cast could’ve been spectacular if the story was better. They tried making Madame Web into something she wasn’t and I think they missed a lot in the story. For almost 2 hours it felt like they didn’t know where to take this movie and the most important scenes felt lack luster bc of writing or execution imo.
The idea for the movie was good. It's just the bad dialogue, edits and unexplained plot holes

@@Swappin.Thoughtsit can currently be watched on "wodfix" which is this great movie app that has practically everything. But the commercials are absurd, so I pay the 5 bucks a month to have them removed. So it's the best thing ever, cause I can watch any and all classics and all the new stuff

its a 3 out of 5. there was attempt to add depth to 3 teens. as for using a car, Madame Web has no physical power, so she using what she has available.
Nobody cares about Madame Web. Not even the people who made this awful movie care about the source material. Disney is doing exactly the same thing with Star Wars. They keep hiring directors who have little to no experience in the real world, they aren't fans of the source material at all, and they keep trying to interject girl boss bullshit in their stories. This was the biggest crock of shit aside from The Marvels and Eternals.

Haven't seen madame web yet but i felt the same about Ghostbusters. Heard everyone claim it was a feminist nightmare of progressive propaganda, but i didnt think so. I was entertained and felt that the criticism was biased. And im not a "progressive" person.
It was as bad as I thought and in some ways worse because it tried to tie itself to be the beginning of Spider-Man which is false. It could have been so much better if they had not tied in those three annoying actresses. No purpose for them in the story. Very predictable in nature and no character development. It got what it deserved and will never be scene again thank god.

This movie was not good by any standard. Plot was childish, acting was pretty horrible. Dakota is a great actress and because of this film I got to see her deliver the worst line of her career. "I hope you're happy mom". 😂 Terrible exploration of a very cool character, but Marvel is and continues to go down hill with its universe. Disney & oversaturation fuel half baked cinematic experiences.

I watched the movie two days ago and I thought it was a OK movie. It wasn’t great but it was OK. The story wasn’t really that great and the evil Spider-Man guy could’ve caught those girls at the train station but for some reason he couldn’t catch them and these girls have no powers so that doesn’t make sense to me and I don’t think they’re acting wasn’t bad at all. I don’t understand why people think the acting was bad I think it’s because it was nothing but females in the movie I think that’s why people are mostly talking shit about it.
And most who saw it agreed.

It was pretty bad. The style of movie was something that could have passed maybe 17-20 yrs ago but today's standard for superhero movies requires and actually good movie first and the superhero thing second. I wanted to like it but it was that bad.
I didn't read any reviews & went to see it on its opening day & it was awful in so many ways, the part i was looking forward the most was them in their Spider suits for a few section sequences but no we got 2 future glances at them. I seen the same with The Marvels with no reviews & it was a very fun film, good soundtrack & a good supporting cast. I came out of the Marvel's upbeat, i came out of Madame Web feeling cheated like I got ripped off..

I saw this movie a few days ago in Netflix and it wasn’t all bad to me even though the plot was a little cringy and predictable it has some merits to be in C or B tier the story wasn’t too bad, I like that we got to meet the Parkers Before Peter and Cate’s Character Development from a woman who is just done with everything to being a mother figure to the girls she saved was decent gotta say C tier or B tier at best and don’t be mad at me but I think Madam Web is better than Kingdom of the planet of the apes.

There is a lot of dumb things that make it cringy. For one, the bad guy had a chance at ending the film early, but blew his shot when he could have easily just taken out the girls out instead of hunting pigs. In comparison, The Marvels at least they were able to all fight, even the kid's family stood their ground without super powers, whereas the cringe factor with The Marvels was the princess song and dance in typical Disney fashion. Even Birds of Prey for the most part those chics stood their ground and were not all inexperienced. I actually liked that one.
