I am mesmerized by the ‘Hasidic Kaddish’. I am learning Hebrew & I am not a Jew. A born Druze who converted to Christianity five years ago & discovering the Wisdom & Beauty of the Hebrew Language & Culture. Todah Rabah. Shana Tova.
This is definitely not Hasidic, not even sure it’s orthodox, definitely if it’s on Rosh hashana being filmed and speaking on a microphone which is forbidden on this holy day. But sure has a nice voice and a gorgeous rabbi.
Acc. To Jewish law, you cannot convert, even if you attempt to, there is no such thing, once given the amazing opportunity of being a Yid, there is no going back.

I am former Lutheran minister now Orthodox (Christian) but respect judaism, attend synagogue at times and often listen to the beautiful worship of God and wonderful chanting here. Shalom.
I am a former Lutheran who went to Roman Catholicism. I was Missouri Synod Lutheran. Is there a reason you chose EO instead of Roman Catholic? I also was split between EO and RC, but I guess it was easier to see the RC up close and personal due to figues like Scott Hahn and the prevelance of catholic churches. However, I attend a Tridentine Mass half the sundays and a new mass the other half. As a Missouri Synod Conservative Lutheran, I expected the catholic mass to be an abomination of heresies, but found it nearly identical to our eucharistic liturgy. It was only when I saw Orthodoxy and the Tridentine Mass, thatI was like "Oh, heres the Romish Popish stuff Ive been hearing about" but then look, the Jews, or elder brothers in the faith, worship in like manner.

Thank you for this moving Kaddish. Sunday, I buried my best friend of 35 years (she was nearly 90), a dear Jewish lady named Marsha Levin Poliakoff (1925-2015). I miss her more than words can say! Your Kaddish has comforted me. She was very musical and I can hear her joyfully singing with you at the top of her beautiful voice. Thank you and may HaShem bless you and yours both now and in the life to come for this kindness.
+Joseph R. Gainey Even if, by halachah, you cannot say Kaddish for her in a minyan -- nothing says you cannot say a prayer for her anytime, anywhere, nor that you cannot remember her.

I love this Hasidic Kaddish, when I was in 9th or 10th grade I studied Judaism and our teacher recommended the kaddish sung by Azi Schwartz and I can tell you that I always come back because I am mesmerized by his singing, the culture and so on. I definetly did not forget the importance of cantors and music in Judaism when my exams came!.
I am not a Jew but after listening to Azi I praise our lord. I sent this film to a friend and he said Azi and the Rabbi are looking so lucky. I think that is it what I love: the luck in there faces by praising our G-tt.
The Bibel speak about God and we learn Wher is He is. All prophets said that Jews are His people. And for us he not see the Lord. Only the Bibel said. Not the history or Priest…. The Bibel is our book.

¡Gracias, pueblo del Santo, Bendito sea su Nombre! Muchas gracias por compartir su alabanza a Él, Bendito sea, estos cantos son oración que me consuela en diario vivir. Shalom!
In case nobody mentioned it, and for the non-Jews in the house, notice that at 2:24 the rabbi greets the congregation with "Shana Tova", so this is a service at Rosh ha-Shana, the Jewish New Year. Lots of cantors love to use this Kaddish melody for the High Holydays (myself included :) ). For obvious reasons, the melody is also known as "The Happy Kaddish". A reminder that the awe of the Days of Awe still includes an aspect of joy -- we are happy for the new year, we are happy for opportunities those days and every day to change our lives.
Don’t need to get to the Rabbi’s greeting to know that this Kaddish is being sung either on Rosh HaShana or Yom Kippur. That’s because the word “ולעלא” is included.
My cousin Brandon died last night. Although I'm Catholic, I came here for solace. His father was Jewish and I don't know what his religious beliefs were, but I kept coming back to the mourners kaddish. I have no idea what kind of funeral he will have on Monday but I asked my friend Laura if it was appropriate for someone to sing for him. She directed me to the local synagogue but I decided to mourn privately in this way. Thank You. Rest in Peace Brandon.
