I always loved that song. It starts so calm, almost clownish - and suddenly panic ensues, violins screaming in pain... till the brutal end. goosebumps!
Some of it would work as The Joker’s theme song in Batman TAS.

I was so disappointed when this track wasn't on the cd. Gotta love the sounds of the violin on this one.
Well, the thing is that for some reason, this track wasn’t released in the english editions. I bought the spanish version and this track does appear. In track order, this one appears after “To Die For” and before “Under The Stars”.

Just when I thought 'The Lion King' couldn't get any better, I listen to the soundtrack and it just makes the movie even more magical.

Each character has a theme that when they mix together, they create a brand new song.
It sounds like a haunted carnival, when the strings come up. I would hate haunted carnivals more than I hate hyenas. I've never been to even a normal carnival though, so I'm guessing.
I think there is an oboe or bassoon in this track somewhere...that reminds me of Peter and the Wolf. I had a cassette tape of it and listened to it a lot when I was little. The bassoon was for the grandfather and French horns were for the wolf. It sounded pretty intimidating.
Yeah, carnival, because hyenas like to laugh non-stop...

The chase music is great, and quite scary The part at 2:48 would be fitting in a slasher movie (I just imagine a character being chased by Jason or Leatherface with that music) lol

I have a drama teacher who, if my life were a movie, would have this as her soundtrack whenever she entered a room. It would be a great way to warn people she was nearby.

This song never made it onto the official soundtrack back when I had it. That was back in the day of cassette tape tho, maybe they just didn't have space for it? Shame, it's an awesome track.
It gives me nostalgic because I loved The Lion King when I was 9, and now I'm a huge Spider-Man fan, I used to make crossovers with Spider-Man and Simba together back at 2020-2021 in my old YT account and I am still because I really want to go back to my childhood 🥺

Though it's a great piece of music, I'm really against the way this track is portraying Hyenas very unfairly, as evil, horrible, and dark. I'm a Hyena-Lover and I'm proud of it.
+Hyena Channel You can't hate the music because how it's played in a movie. Its still great music, and Hans Zimmer probably knew nothing about the movie. (btw I do like hyenas)
ironmatic 1 Ok, maybe I over exagguated.. Maybe I don't hate the music. The music as it is is good. I just don't like the way it's called "Hyenas" and how it portrays hyenas as dark, horrible creatures. I love a lot of Han Zimmer's music. This one sounds good, just don't like how it portrays hyenas..
+Hyena Channel I don't hate the music, but the portrayal of the hyenas was that they only followed Scar because he promised them things they couldn't other wise get. And when he didn't fulfil that promise they turned against him. So the Hyenas aren't really the bad guys anyway. Or at least that's how I see it :)
And then there is The Lion Guard's line: "You and *your kind* are never allowed here." :(

It's funny, but it seems that on all secondary soundtracks from movies, there are always conversations of what is said in the particular scene in the comments.
@WolfSyn And because of how people are today, movie creators are afraid of simply putting a phrase like "kill him" so you don't hear that in as much movies anymore especially animated disney movies.
@Lamporre That part is used whenever the hyenas first appear. Like when they go over to scar and say "we have no food" once scar rules pride rock.
My favourite part of the music is 3:30-3:47 I especially love the scene when the hyenas are chasing Simba and Nala when I'm in a situation when I feel like I'm in danger of others I think of the scene in the movie with this music

Everything after that I can recognize (the two hyena confrontations Simba has) but that first minute had me stumped...
@dragongirl1021 Whoopee Goldburg played the voice of the female hyena. And to think I didn't know who she was back then. When I looked it up last year I just died laughing and watched the movie and sure enough "OMG it IS her! Can't believe I didn't realize until now!" lol

Other ways would include... file sharing, torrents... other ways to get music without paying...
