Fakalofa atu everyone! Im half Niuean, and im looking forward to going to Niue in March 2020 to experience my mother’s roots/land! I’ll be taking my mum back who hasn’t been back to niue after she moved to New Zealand over 30+ years ago! Such a beautiful small island! Undiscovered, Unspoiled, Unbelievable 🇳🇺💙

4:30 - I'm almost in tears seeing a cooked flying fox. They are actually protected by law as they're considered sacred in my culture. Overall, lovely video. Happy Niuean Language Week!

It is good positive way that if someone are living abroad and they want to show to their heir about the culture and traditions from their back-home. Ones can feel true love and respect for our roots. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with Mary Tasmania with her statement. Its more better to experience your culture first hand than to talk about it. Talking is good, teaching too however participating is where the fun begins. :)

This is such a great idea. I think more small countries need to make an effort to connect with expatroits.

The struggle is real alright flights to niue are stupendously expensive even tho there's two flight services running weekly which is one more than the norm of only once a week.
    Minimum wage is a pittance.
The tariff on food prices rather than alcohol is a crime, so expensive.
Qualified niuean born and bred graduates are getting paid significantly lesser than expatriates whom are flown in from overseas, if they are even hired.
I love my island wholeheartedly and I'd love to go back and live but I feel like its "who" you know opposed to "what" you know and this maybe another reason why those who leave go and never come back

You usually make your own food In niue. and is a very welcoming island it doesn't matter who you know your greeted by everyone, and most people like tourists can't take on the challenges on niue such as planting, husking coconuts and weaving.

The United States can be a bully with stunning audacity and arrogance, depending a lot on who the president is.
What happened to Hawai'i was awful, and, unfortunately #TheReligiousWhite's perverse faith in capitalism and prosperity gospel remain a pox on the nation.
