When we entered the pandemic, I immediately began thinking about presenting virtual/cyber magic shows. I have presented magic on television for some time, so I was used to the idea of working in the frame of a camera. But, this would be different. Over the last 8 months, it’s been an exploration and an evolution. I’ve been reworking the act in terms of what I’m offering virtually, finding just the right magical pieces that translate to this medium. It’s been about presenting a show that is engaging and interactive. How do I involve the audience and create the feeling that we are in the same room, as if it was a live performance? What new routines can I create that work across the camera? There has been the continual evolution of the technical side of it all-building a studio, with state of the art equipment in cameras, lights, hardware and software-all of it raises the level of production quality that an audience doesn’t see, but certainly feels, so when the show is over, they know they’ve experienced something truly great.
I’ve been fortunate to have started early. I’ve been performing cyber shows since this all began and I haven’t stopped-with audiences filled with people from nearly every country in the world, taking part virtually.

2020 has been a difficult and often painful time in this world for so many-myself included. I’m grateful and humbled to have been able to continue doing what I love, in a new way. Our lives changed this year and altered our future. While we have had to remain distanced, we have also found new ways to connect like never before. May this new year bring a renewed sense of happiness, health, and opportunity to all of us.
