Thanks for the actual visual showing the latest version of the app - was able to resolve the issue I was having (needed to go into the app and selected Line-In)!
That’s an RCA y-splitter. Does not come with record player despite they sell it on Sonos website. Never a good experience anytime I have to mess with this system. Ordered the splitter. Going to have to move my whole system around now so my 5 can be next to the player.
i have a dongle dac atom 2 connect to iphone and conect to sonos port at the same time two sonos roam, two sonos one G2 and Sonos Sub G3, good experience for me,
@sonos - I just got the Era 300, and wanted to connect it to my turntable. The turntable has a built-in preamp, do I need an amplifier, or do I just connect the turntable to Era via an RCA cable? My turntable is Audio-Technica AT-LP120XB.
If your turntable has a built-in preamp you should be fine connecting straight to the speaker - just need to make sure you set the your turntable output to "Line" or "Line-in" :)
Can someone tell me what I need to buy to wire a Sony PS-LX310BT to a Sonos ERA 300 Speaker please. I'm new to this and I'm struggling to figure it out as the Sony turntable's RCA cable is wired straight into the system so therefore not removable. Thanks
You would connect a stereo cable into one PLAY:5, and assuming the PLAY:5s are set up as a stereo pair, and not just grouped together, you would get a stereo signal. Right out of one, left out of the other. Essentially, you want RCA stereo to 3.5mm stereo cable, along the lines of this.
You only have to connect it so one speaker. The other speakers are synced wirelessly. Some players have bluetooth which means you can even skip that first cable.
@@sonos How do I connect the two audio cables from a Sony PS-LX310BT to a Sonos Five? I can’t seem to get the Bluetooth pairing to work either but would like both options.

Hi there! Thanks for the question. Plug your turntable directly into Sonos Five using the line-in port on the back. Plug the single end of an RCA Y-audio cable into the line-in port of Five and attach the split cable to the corresponding colors of the L/R audio outputs on the back of your turntable. As for Bluetooth connectivity, Sonos Five is not compatible. Hope this information is helpful.

Will this also work on a pair of Sonos Five? Do I have to use two cables to get left/right channel on the speakers?
I have the same doubt 😟

Why do I have a wireless system when I need to connect your player via cable?

For the Sonos Line-In playback on the Era 100, can I use any USB-C adapter or do I need a proprietary adapter from Sonos?
Hi Mike, thanks for your question. You will need to use the Sonos Line-In Adapter: www.sonos.com/shop/sonos-line-in-adapter
