  • Remains of a collier brig which ran aground in the early 1900s. The name of the vessel has been lost to time, but many such vessels hauled coal as well as produce and across the North Sea and down up and down the coast at the time. This type of vessel was also favoured by explorers and cartographers for its strong build, manoeuvrability and being able to negotiate much shallower water than other ships of the time... (ironically, in this case).
Famous Brigs of this type: HMS Discovery. HMS Resolution.
